the table mirror is composed of several sheets of reflective surfaces which creates a visual metaphor of the fact that faces and personalities are not flat but multifaceted.
I have been intrigued by this piece by Traxler. He has used the mirror as a visual metaphor for how personalities are not just 2 dimensional flat things, they are multifaceted and 3 dimensional.
The mirror takes the face and breaks it up across multiple reflective surfaces of different sizes. The reflection is a metaphor for the personality and the reflection across different sizes breaks the face up showing is multiple dimensions.
I have been inspired by this as it is a simple way of representing quite a complicated issue.
