02.02 — День сурка 🦫 ┈┈┈┈┈┈┈┈┈┈┈┈┈┈┈┈ Сурка будят один раз в году А тебя — каждый день в шесть утра ⏰ Его спрашивают о будущем Тебя — о статусе по вчерашним задачам 📋
Его ответ — это праздник Твой ответ — «неудовлетворителен» 😐 ┈┈┈┈┈┈┈┈┈┈┈┈┈┈┈┈ 02.02 — Groundhog Day 🦫 ┈┈┈┈┈┈┈┈┈┈┈┈┈┈┈┈
The groundhog is woken up once a year. You — every day at six in the morning ⏰
They ask him about the future. You — for a status on yesterday’s tasks 📋
His answer is a celebration. Your answer is “unsatisfactory” 😐┈┈┈┈┈┈┈┈┈┈┈┈┈┈┈┈
Last Light on a Sunday Evening
“Nomad”, oil on canvas, 60 x 48 inches. Entomology of the word nomad: "a wanderer, one of a tribe of people who have no fixed abode," 1550s (in plural, nomades), from French nomade (16c.), from Latin Nomas (genitive Nomadis) "wandering groups in Arabia," from Greek nomas (genitive nomados, plural nomades) "roaming, roving, wandering" (from place to place to find pasturage for their flocks or herds), related to nomos "pasture, pasturage, grazing," literally "land allotted" (from PIE root *nem- "assign, allot; take"). If I was to classify my own archetype it would be nomadic. Maybe it’s due to an early life of living and adapting to so many places. It’s what I most identify with. The irony is that my work is about place and taking up space in those places. There’s nothing more I enjoy than immersing myself in the nuances of a place. Nomad seems the opposite of that but for me it is the vehicle. This painting is about visualizing that vehicle of exploration! #nomad #paintings #colourscape #openspace #artlifestyle #oiloncanvaspainting https://www.instagram.com/p/CnPeNsCLkWS/?igshid=NGJjMDIxMWI=
