So, I read @misedejem‘s fanfic regarding Angelo OVO Pannetone’s backstory and IT WAS SO GOOD.
Also, now it makes me wonder if Angelo and Kamiizumi will ever meet again in the future, and if they do...how destructive is that reunion going to get, given the bloody ties they have between them?
88-98 for the Bravely ask meme?
That’s a lot of questions at once, but I’ll do my best to answer!
99 Bravely Series Asks
88. - Which Asterisk Holders have the best relationship?
How am I supposed to choose? There are so so many relationships that are so cool in the games! O_O If I absolutely MUST choose one, however, it’s probably the whole of the Black Blades and the relationship dynamics they all had with each other.
If I really have to boil it down to the relationships between two specific Asterisk Bearers and I assume you only mean canon relationships, it’s probably Kamiizumi and Braev’s friendship. I still wish we saw more of that in Second!
89. - Any characters you used to like but don’t anymore?
I don’t think so.
90. - Any characters you used to dislike but now you like?
Alternis Dim. The guy just doesn’t give up on Edea, even though she clearly rejected him. At first I found that annoying, but after Bravely Default and going into Bravely Second I found it slightly more endearing, given that Ringabel himself is an Alternis from another world.
91. - When there’s no difference do you cast Fire, Blizzard or Thunder?
Fire. It’s always Fire. I don’t know why.
92. - You used the “Lore” skills a lot?
Not really, no.
93. - Most mind-blowing plot twist? [Tag the spoiler!]
THAT YOKO WAS NOT A HUMAN PRINCESS, BUT A DEMON. I was definitely thrown off by that for a good while!
The other plot twist that surprised me was the fact that THE CRYSTALS STILL WENT CRAZY, EVEN THOUGH THE KAISER STOPPED DOING THAT IN THE SECOND LOOP BECAUSE OF ANNE MIND-CONTROLLING SYLVIE AND THE MATRIARCH! O_O I had no idea fairies could do that…
94. - In which sidequest from Second did you have more trouble choosing a side?
Definitely Time Mage (Eloch Quentis Khamer) versus Dark Knight (Alternis Dim). I had no idea that there would be happy endings to either of those two choices, but I ultimately sided with Alternis because even without the poor laws, I thought the economy of Grandship would still be insane anyway. Also, Alternis was so devoted to those kids and making sure they were okay that I couldn’t help but be touched by that.
95. - And which one was the most clear-cut?
Definitely the Swordmaster (Nobutsuna Kamiizumi) versus Summoner (Mephilia Venus) scenario. I’m kind of a big believer in putting in the hard work on something, even if you don’t like it. Also, Kamiizumi’s my favourite character on top of that, so that probably helped teeter my decision to side with Kamiizumi and against Mephilia. His letter to Gho was pretty convincing, too.
96. - Funniest punny name?
Minette Napkatti. Also the cutest!
97. - Cringiest punny name?
I…can’t think of any, surprisingly.
98. - If you could use any asterisk in real life, which one would you pick and what might you do with it?
Good question. Probably the Exorcist Asterisk, because then I can use it to get rid of demons and heal my allies’ HP by undoing their injuries! Also, that skill can undo wrecking things in a jiffy. Imagine how convenient it is!

Two of the quests actually have four endings rather than the usual two, so if you still have yet to redo either white mage/merchant or performer/pirate then I would keep going, just so you can get more of those endings in less time. Otherwise, it really just depends on whether you want to fight harder bosses or not.
I blasted through to the end and am now in chapter 5, which is where I’ll probably stop for a while until i max out my chompcraft and the remaining jobs, because I’m that kind of player. It wasn’t really that much of a chore to get through the first 4 chapters at level 97+, it’s just annoying that there’s kind of an all or nothing to the whole time issue. Also the speech Agnes gives seems to indicate we weren’t supposed to have done it the first time on NG+, unless that changes if you did, because she talks about ‘countless’ cycles and losing hope.
(I’m just glad there’s no x spamming like in BD, that hurt my thumb so much, I failed to break the crystal more than once because I got so tired of it. I’m weak like that)
((please shoot me if there’s that mechanic returning. just. shoot me))
misedejem replied to your post: But yeah, Bravely Second making (strongly...
You can get the other asterisks this way, but doing so will not progress the story, nor is it the only way to get them. To be vague so I don’t give anything away, I would talk to the Adventurer to get a hint at what you’re supposed to do, and then activate NG+ again. Something is different about the opening scene in the chapter 4 NG+ and what the Adventurer says links to it.
See, I was under the impression that if I did what you’re hinting at, I’d progress the plot to where I was, losing the chance to get the other asterisks without further NG+, Now, the question is, since I’ve only got 4 jobs left, I’m max level and nearly all jobs save the most recent are at 8, should I just turn off encounters and speed through the remainder, or trigger the continue point?
The Venus sisters for the meme? (If you don't want to do them all, you can pick whichever)
Pick a character I’ve written and I will explain the top ~three to five ideas/concepts/etc I keep in mind while writing that character that I believe are essential to accurately depicting them (x)
Yeah, I can do all the Venus sisters! Going to do top 3 to not overwhelm myself lol.
Einheria Venus-While she believes in the anticrystalist ideals of the duchy, she’s not in favor with some of the actions considering what happened with her sisters and DeRosa being her commander. I grew to respect her after the Groundhog Day loop stuff.
-She’s like the Mama Bear to her sisters and that both Mephilia and Artemia are loyal to her.
-While the game makes several mentions/references to Einheria and Edea’s interactions, I feel her student/teacher relationship with Kamiizumi is important too (him letting Einheria look over his dojo for instance).
Mephilia Venus-Suleiman is a big part of her life, since in some of the battles in both BD and B2nd she referenced him after you defeat her.
-She’s considered a genius when she was very young due to her summoning skills, so it would be cool to see more fanworks showcasing that side of her.
-I’ll admit she gets tricky in terms with her interactions with Yulyana. In the majority of the worlds she gets disgusted with him. But then in Ch7 of BD and in B2nd (if you fight against Kamiizumi instead of her) she seems to be fine with him. I guess you can make a case where there are parts of Yulyana she just won’t tolerate, but still respects his magical skills.
Artemia Venus-Her speech is different from her sisters in which she refers to herself in third person and usually in incomplete sentences.
-One of her dislikes is relationships, so it’s very likely she won’t be interested in any romantic interactions anytime soon haha.
-Even though she’s a hunter, from what was showcased in B2nd under certain situations she believes that all lives are equal and not one is favored over the other.
BONUS for all sisters- with the exception of their time during the Bloodrose Legion, all three sisters genuinely care for one another.

Aaaah, thank you for the shout out! That's really sweet of you to say~
You’re welcome! :D

OOC: You make a good point there. I almost forgot that Geist had called Braev younger than him, too. *facepalms self*
I still wish I had an idea of how old Revenant and Geist are exactly. I just hope, if they have a Bravely Third game, that they’ll supply some information about that.
Oh geez if Geist is seriously, actually in his fifties though that immediately makes him the oldest muse I’ve ever RPed. *flails*
