Tracie Santos and Elissa Leach met at a Cafe Bourbon Street show after recognizing each other as comic book lovers. Santos noticed Leach wearing a patch by comic artist Kate Leth, and, “At this point, you weren’t hearing Kate Leth’s name a lot, so I was like, ‘Hang on a minute. We should be friends.’”
3. "Miseryland," by Keiler Roberts
These simple, but well-drawn comics approach life just as the crow flies — straight and to the point. “A lot of comics, when they’re autobiographical, try hard to be cool. There’s nothing cool about this book,” Leach says. “All of her comics are basically about her family life and her own mental illness. You wonder how it can be so funny and good and poignant. I’m not a laugh-out-loud person, but I’ve gotten looks from strangers while reading this book from laughing so hard.”

Hi! I saw your response to that anti-abortion post, and I agree with everything you said! You nailed it. There is one thing that I thought could help you with your argument though (since I'm way too passive aggressive to actually argue it myself). I work for planned parenthood, and those "leaked" abortion videos were made by anti-abortion organizations and are extremely edited and biased. Those videos are completely fake and have caused so much unneeded grief. Just thought it could help. :-)
Thanks for the heads up, but I know they’re fake. I stopped paying attention to them after the second or third video. I assumed they’d die away. I guess I had high hopes that people were more critical about this sort of propaganda.
But, y’know, wishful thinking, I guess. :(
