If you've seen Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agents in your neighborhood and wondered whether you can legally share that informa
In the wake of Keith Porter, Renee Good, and Alex Pretti, "don't make a bad decision" feels like a threat to kill if you don't comply.
That's cuz it is
i would like to see these agents arrested and charged with threatening each and every person that they make this sort of statement to
so many people get arrested and charged with crimes for threatening people in less overt ways
like one guy i know was accused of threatening someone because he opened his wallet during an interaction and a concealed carry permit was visible in the wallet. he didn't even point at it, but the person said that by making the card visible, it came across as threatening to shoot the person, and the authorities agreed and investigated the guy and ended up having his permit taken away and his guns confiscated. he didn't even say anything remotely like what these agents are saying
meanwhile these agents are not only openly carrying guns, but openly killing people, and then they make statements like this.
the disparity is glaring.
we need to actually treat people equally under the law. until this stuff is enforced equally, our whole country and constitution is a farce.

Remember when Xbox was going to basically ban used games for the xbox one, and Playstation made fun of them with that video titled "how to share games on Playstation" and it was just one guy handing another a game disk? And now Playstation is getting rid of physical disks entirely
It’s like they expect us to just forget their original marketing schemes in favor of more and more money grabs.
i have a suggestion
this is from the 2000’s btw
Looks like @staff mistakenly censored this comic, which is an ironic and very funny thing to happen
Here it is again. You might want to save it just in case an accident like that happens again
EDIT: HMM. LOOKS LIKE OP WAS BANNED TOO. WHAT A FUNNY. IRONIC. ACCIDENT
LOVED Knights of Guinevere!!
Had to make some fanart ✨🫶
In love with this random guy who had a lock slapped on his storage unit for not paying its rental and not only did he ignore management and took his stuff out without paying, but also chose to steal the lock itself and send it to the LockPickingLawyer along with a confession letter
@theoutcastrogue
cant believe you didnt include the full sentence
People always focus on the "lockpicking" part of his name and ignore that the lockpicking lawyer is, indeed, a lawyer, and can tell you exactly which crimes you committed in getting this lock to him
A 75 yo man proudly came into the cafe wearing an Ultra Maga hat. I excused my barista from the register to handle the transaction.
"The hat is customizable," he said, struggling with the velcro patch on the front. "If I need it, I have an ICE one too. I pick based off the business i walk into."
"Customizable is an important hat descriptor," I said. "what can I get you?"
"You wouldn't believe how offended people get these days," he said. "And I'm supposed to do something about it if you're offended? You chose to be offended!"
"We all have hundreds of thousands of decisions everyday," I said. I thickened my accent. "That's what my stepdad always said. But I can make one easier - we have a delicious Ethiopian roast available."
"Like if I told you you have a bull ring," he said, "because bulls have rings in their noses. Is that offensive?"
I laughed. "I've heard that before."
"It's a joke, but people get offended. Maybe you're offended."
I looked at him. I smiled. "You aren't trying to offend me though, right?"
Of course he was. I was being friendly and the friendlier I was, the faster he switched topics. He was saying anything inflammatory he could think of to see if I'd take the bait. After about 20 minutes of my redirecting and deescalating, he settled into a more normal interaction. He took up too much of my time showing me a product I'd feigned mild interest in to get him to stop talking about getting accused of inappropriate behavior at work. When we finally disengaged, he spent 10 minutes trying to catch my eye again. When he failed, he left.
There's this new breed of customer who insists on trying to incite political conversation through their clothing and, when that doesnt work, their snide little comments. If I owned my own business, maybe I would have given the guy the fight he wanted. But I work for a corporation and I love paying my bills so I deescalated.
Anyone wearing that type of shit and preying on workers for their own spank bank material is a brainless fucking sheep.
something i want to mention because i’ve seen it growing as a trend online is that not only do people do this just for their own gratification, but watch for glasses. smart glasses are a growing segment of the consumer market, and creeps like this are harassing people in public in order to gather content without the victims being aware they’re being filmed
good job on how you handled it, op!
Indeed, spotting Meta glasses in the wild just got harder in 2026.
They are no longer exclusively Ray-Bans.
We're at the "JK Rowling is personally funding litigation to try and destroy AMNESTY INTERNATIONAL" stage of rabid UK terf brain.
Screenshot via Alejandra Caraballo @esqueer.net on bluesky
Tldr Amnesty International, global human rights organisation, published a report called 'A growing threat: the anti-rights movement in the UK'. In it is detailed, amongst others, a whole bunch of transphobic groups and organisations, including Beira's Place, JK Rowling's trans exclusionary sexual violence support service. JK Rowling threw a shit fit and got Amnesty to take the report down by threatening libel. This was obviously not enough, because you can't appease a fascist, so now she's going to bankroll a bunch of lawsuits anyway through the JK Rowling Women's Fund.*
You can read an archived version of the report here, please save it and share it.
*Not so friendly reminder there is no way to engage in the wizard books without enabling this shit.
You know, when I've remarked that a lot of the responses to my posts feel like people are just plucking out keywords they think they recognise based on the shape of them and replying to what they imagine the post says based on that, the possibility never occurred to me that this is actually how many American schools are currently teaching kids to read.
Like, my assumption this whole time has been that when folks go "I misunderstood this post that says [thing] as saying [unrelated thing] because I mistook [word] for [completely different word that happens to start with the same letter]", that was a bit. What do you mean they're teaching kids a reading method that's tailored to produce this exact error?
Three cueing. Once you learn about it, a whole lot of very frustrating online discourse with US Americans makes so much sense 😭
For decades, schools have taught children the strategies of struggling readers, using a theory about reading that cognitive scientists have
If you were taught to read with the three cueing method, and now struggle to read fluently, you can still learn to read properly!
-> Phonics For Adults <-
If you're a teenager, you can still use this resource.
Mississippi used to be at or near the bottom national literacy rankings and as I understand, their near meteoric surge in literacy rate ranking is almost entirely due to the fact that they largely still use phonics
And I want to emphasize here that the poor literacy is the intended outcome.
We've done the research on how to make a good education system and it's been put into practice irl via Finland, who has one of the best education systems in the world and it was built almost entirely using US research.
The lack of reading comprehension is the intended outcome
LGBT activists have been vocal about intersex issues for several decades, because establishing the legal right to bodily autonomy for intersex persons is basically inseparable from establishing the right of trans persons to that same legal autonomy over their own bodies. many intersex persons prefer not to be grouped together with LGBT causes; however, the vast majority of LGBT activists would agree that performing "corrective" surgery on intersex infants - to force them to adhere to a largely fictional gender binary - is pretty fucking evil.
[Image IDs: a series of tweets from #EndIntersexSurgery (@/ Pidgejen) reading: Anyways, let's start with what I thought I once knew about myself. When I was 18, I discovered I wasn't like other girls. My medical records read "male pseudo-hermaphrodite 46 XY" & other BS terminology that pathologized my healthy/beautiful intersex body.
I discovered then that I had been diagnosed with partial androgen insensitivity syndrome (PAIS); my XY body couldn't fully utilize androgens (like T) and so I developed mostly like a typical female person externally.
For me, this meant I had a somewhat "ambiguous" looking body (aka a non-binary body) and the doctors performed 3 unnecessary cosmetic surgeries to make me look more like a "normal girl"
(peanut emoji) gonadectomy (scissors emoji) Clitorectomy (kitchen knife emoji) vaginoplasty
Not to mention, they lied to me about All Of This and then forced me to take Premarin (a low does of estrogen made from extracting the hormone from a pregnant mare's urine (horse face emoji, crying face emoji)
Anyways, I got in touch with a new endocrinologist recently thanks to my therapist at @/ RuchMedical who suggested I see him.
He did something no other doctor had ever done. He asked me if he could see my medical records, all of them, and then took time to read of them.
He even reached out to other experts in his field when he was confused by something.
Wow, We love humility in medicine.
Anyways, he ended up suspecting something is up and that perhaps my PAIS diagnosis is wrong.
He then orders me a genetic (dna emoji) test. Thanks to covid it took almost half a year to get the results, but a month or so ago I got them back.
Turns out, I don't have PAIS. I actually have something else known as NR-5A1. Now this is big news mostly because 1. It supports my thesis that docs who deal with intersex kids don't know shit...
And 2. P/AIS intersex folks are believed to not be able to utilize androgens and wo we're often only given estrogen (never T), forcibly "feminized" with fucked up "cosmetic" surgeries, and forcibly assigned female.
Doing what they did to me was fucked up enough, but now realizing that they didn't even have the diagnosis right—and that I *can* utilize androgens—is fucking infuriated beyond belief.
We need to #EndIntersexSurgery y'all like yesterday. /End IDs]

I have been enjoying seeing people experience food this World Cup
The person who wrote this has almost certainly never been to Japan- if they had, they would know that Japanese restaurants also offer table appetizers in many contexts. Some of them? Mexican restaurants. You can get free tortilla chips when you eat Mexican food in Tokyo Osaka Kobe Kyoto and rural HIMEJI for fuck’s sake. Those are just places where I’ve personally had free tortilla chips in Japan.
This is chat gpt trash prompted to “sound Japanese” and it’s based off of racist old movie dialogue. There’s zero correlation here to Japanese grammar and how Japanese translates into English or how a native speaker of Japan uses English. It’s slop. It’s racist ai slop rehashing Western exceptionalism, fantasizing about a Japanese person being in awe of how great the USA is. It’s depressing that people fell for this. I know it feels good to think that other people like us, and sometimes they do, but this only works if you assume Japanese people have extremely limited experience and worldview. It’s mortifying.
If someone other than me would push back against this propaganda, it would be nice.
OP deleted the post, but OOP is a prime example of an alt-right grifter using “positive” stereotypes to stir up hatred against immigrants and other marginalized groups.
what's disturbing is that real right-wing US media outlets, including the NY Post, have made stories about this AI-generated fake account as if it were a real Japanese tourist
right-wing media in the US has distorted truth and presented it selectively for decades now
but this is a whole other level of sloppiness
it's sad we have sunk this low
I hope everyone who shares this item gets kickback and this and other fake accounts get exposed
