I believe that Rishi is generally an all right person, but he reads as someone who is so convinced he is the Nice Guy in his relationships he barely ever examines his actions and responses bc he is the one sacrificing stuff, so he must be in the right (even if ppl didn't ask for that).
But then he has a relationship of supposed equals and if the boat is rocked even a little he just says whatever is most hurtful in situations, and then keeps a grudge, but then blames you for idk not trying to break him out of his grudge bc stinky looks flawlessly convey 'come reconcile w me', bc his feelings should be understood and prioritised here...and he is the One?
