Crawlie is a seeker droid that had been modified—by the Droid Mechanic known as "M"—to do more tasks than a spy droid is capable of. Its personality is timid, friendly, yet clever. It usually accompanies Starlight on stealth missions, supporting her from the shadows.

Here's the concept art for "M"! We've drawn most of the main cast in Lae Haxxar's story before, except for M, mostly because he's a cyborg, which we figured that his cybernetic body should be designed, however that remains to be planned out... for now, here's a general visual with him in a cloak (which he usually wears), much easier to draw.
I've always wanted Lae to have some sort of probe droid companion ever since I played Battlefront II's campaign as Iden Versio. I've just loved the fact that it's a more compact version of a probe droid, a type of droid I've always loved as well.
As for the Maul-shaped elephant in the room, the comic takes place during the events of "Filling the Gaps" (info here), which the two characters may have some form of contact during that time (subject to change—depending on the situation, this comic strip can be considered non-canon/silly).
We're hoping to draw more of M soon, he's seriously cool. Can't wait for you to meet him properly!
⁕ Trivia — Lae's liking for spiders stem from when she followed her mentor's friend, Donna, to Ghorman to pick up some fabrics, to which she learned of Ghorman spiders/ghorlectipods, which fascinated her.
