BTI - Attempting a maximalist décor...

New at posting on Tumblr, I'm trying something new (a bunch of new things actually). Here is my very own and special attempt at a maximalist décor in the Sims 4. I'm not there yet, but still pretty proud of the final result for a first, so I figured I would share

A little on the BTI (Behind The Interior)

I created this lively living room for a townie couple from the Lovestruck expansion Pack, Aziz and Valetina NADIR.

In my savefile, they have left Ciudad Enamorada and now live in Windenburg. What a change of scenery one might say. Well, that is exactly why they needed to have such a vibrant living space, to cope with the greyness of their new reality and add back to their everyday life that now missed sun, light and warmth of Ciudad.

They obviously both got a slight makeover to better fit my narrative. While, Valentina is still an unapologetic and fierce love lover matchmaker, Aziz is now a trendy and appealing professional photographer who has to face temptation in the practice of his career...

Now, between one always on the go romanticizing others' love life, while neglecting her own love and marriage on one hand, and the other, feeling unseen and taken for granted by the love of his life but certainly not by the rest of the world, the challenge is on!

Will they find balance in their relationship ? or will they fall apart ?

BTI - Crest Plaza 3/7

Now, the salon is a very important place in any save file if you ask me. Those pixels deserve a little pampering from time to time and I love to make it possible, immersive and glamourous (at least I try...)

A little on the BTI (Behind The Interior)

This time, I wanted something a little different from what I usually do. You know, the usual blush pink and cream that I tend to use in most of my salons.

But here, we went green, and I must say, I really like it. I picked a color combination that I wasn't so sure about ( the dark brown wood) because I wanted to push myself and see what I could do when it's not the "ordinary", and I am quite pleased with the final product.

I wanted a soft but bold atmosphere, elegant but not bougie, you know what I mean ? A place that was accessible but yet feels like you treated yourself.

What do you think ? did I succeed in doing so ? and / or what do you think I could change to make it better?

TOWNIE MAKEOVER - Katrina Caliente

Here you have it ! The iconic Katrina Caliente has just got her well deserved (if you ask me!) makeover .

For this makeover I decided to also rewrite the story of that famous household. Just a little bit.

Of course I have kept the dynamic between them all but with a little twist here and there. If you're curious about my vision, keep reading...

So, Katrina is now an actress, hence the more sophisticated look. She is Judith Ward's collegue and friend.

Katrina has met her new love interest while in prep for a new movie. She had to get in shape for a more physical role, so the production has hired a well known and highly qualified personal trainer in the person of Don Lothario.

As the intense workout sessions went by, with the closeness, the sweating and the tension well... feelings arose.

Katrina feels like she is having a new youth. With Don, she laughs, she enjoys the finest things that life can offer, and...she has fantastic love making sessions with that god of a man, yeah that counts too, right ?

But you know, good things can not last forever! As their new relation struggles to pass the pleasant but superficial state, it now has just leaked and the papparazi are going crazy on the age gap between the two lovers.

As if it was not enough, there are now some rumors about Don possibly cheating on her with...none other than her own daughter, Nina (more to come on her with her makeover).

The drama is on...

BTI - A cute nail salon.

This time, I tried to create a cute but functional place for my girly sims and those who live for a self care session.

A little on the BTI (Behind The Interior).

I created this small business because I was suddenly inspired by a randomly generated sim that I had to makeover for the purpose of my storyline.

Let me explain : When one of my main male character friend paid him a visit on a random wednesday, I embraced it. And so, said friend then met the new baby for the first time. The interaction was so cute that I decided that this random NPC, would not be random anymore, but known as uncle Connor ! How sweet!

Obviously, if you are being promoted to the uncle status, it means that you now have to have a full life, and that my friends, is how it all started.

From there, I got it into my head, that uncle Connor needed to have a cool job, a nice house, and a perfect match. That is how, Mica enters the chat room.

Meet Mica Barrows...

Mica Barrows - owner of TIPS salon.

As I previously stated, Mica Barrows, was a randomly generated townie that conveniently already was in Connor's relatioship panel. No need for me to create a completely new sim, I would just make Mica over and voilà!

The plus in that, was that Mica was also in my main sim relationship panel, which was the perfect opportunity for me to play it out in my storyline through the ingame matchmaker interaction.

Well, it could have stopped there but, you know me (well not really but you'll learn...).

Once Mica was made over, I then had a full on story and background for her that needed to be fleshed out.

That is how that young, sweet and bubbly blond girl, passionate about self care, easy going and self-assured was born in CAS. And SHE had the idea to open her own salon in the town center of Windenburg.

Renting a tiny one bedroom appartment* in the building next door, she is thriving as a passionate and determined business owner who also happens to be falling in love...

*I might post that one but I fear it would be redundant with this post here? still debating...

BTI - Crest Plaza 1/7

Let me show you all the fine places our favourite characters are going to evolve in during our story. For starters, the center of Newcrest with Crest Plaza and it's 7 shops.

Before we start, I have to shout out and thank @deesimsyt for her incredible build that I have used to create my perfect plaza. I have kept the structure, but changed the shops (except for the whole foods that I kept but tweaked). You should really go and watch her speed build, her candy shop ? chef's kiss , If I could...ughhh ! but I am on a CC diet rn😔. Also, I took a huge inspiration from @jaxplaysthesims (huuuuuge fan by the way!) and her series Sienna and the City, in which she had a gorgeous wellness studio.

A little on the BTI (Behind The Interior).

Opal Studio, from the name of the lady that runs it, is THE place to be for those who value stillness, quiet, peace and an unhurried and restorative yoga session.

Come and release all the tension accumulated in your body and your mind, be it from a stressful work environment or life's ordeals and challenges.

Opal, the Yoga instructor, is the sweetest person you'll ever meet, and she has made a mission for herself to make sure you leave her studio at peace and relaxed, but also toned and strong.

It is Lizzi's favourite place. and she is always dragging one of the girls whith her. Deja hates it (you can probably tell below 😅) , but Meg and Neela are starting to enjoy it.

HAPPY EASTER from Myra & Cameron.

This year, Myra and Cameron hosted Easter.

Cameron's parents, Myra's mother, Cameron's sister, Naomi and his niece, Cecilia were the guests.

Erik, Naomi's husband was on a buisiness trip and couldn't make it for Easter lunch.

Cecilia had a lovely day, enjoyed her egg hunt, and all the chocolate she ate.

Myra, cooked a 3 course meal: Salad in glasses, honey and garlic roast lamb with fondant potatoes and for dessert, rose and strawberry nectar macarons.

And just to complete that lovely day, Myra and Cameron announced their engagement. YAY to the coming wedding !!

BTI- Crest Plaza 7/7

Grocery shopping...right, right, right ! Isn't it funny how much we hate it in real life and love it in the sims ! 🤭

A little on the BTI (Behind The Interior).

If you ask me, the grocery store is a must have when you like to play realistically in the Sims 4.

I really liked what @deesimsyt did with her Whole Foods, so I definitely kept the base and just tweaked it to my liking, using only the CC I alreay had.

I have to say, I am quite happy with the final result. It feels real, and lively with the help of @cherisi incredible functional deco sims ! I mean, talk about one talented member of the sims community ! 👏🏾

Also, maybe you got it by now, but, our main character loves to cook, so this is OBVIOUSLY (see what I just did here... 🤭😅😉) one of their favourite place to go! Fresh produce and ingredients, I mean..

So, any guesses on who that main character might be ? (I'm sure you do know, because, let's be honest, I have not been that sleek about it! 🤣)

But, just in case the suspense is killing some of you, the answer will be in the next post....😉
