Now, the salon is a very important place in any save file if you ask me. Those pixels deserve a little pampering from time to time and I love to make it possible, immersive and glamourous (at least I try...)

A little on the BTI (Behind The Interior)

This time, I wanted something a little different from what I usually do. You know, the usual blush pink and cream that I tend to use in most of my salons.

But here, we went green, and I must say, I really like it. I picked a color combination that I wasn't so sure about ( the dark brown wood) because I wanted to push myself and see what I could do when it's not the "ordinary", and I am quite pleased with the final product.

I wanted a soft but bold atmosphere, elegant but not bougie, you know what I mean ? A place that was accessible but yet feels like you treated yourself.

What do you think ? did I succeed in doing so ? and / or what do you think I could change to make it better?

BTI - Crest Plaza 1/7

Let me show you all the fine places our favourite characters are going to evolve in during our story. For starters, the center of Newcrest with Crest Plaza and it's 7 shops.

Before we start, I have to shout out and thank @deesimsyt for her incredible build that I have used to create my perfect plaza. I have kept the structure, but changed the shops (except for the whole foods that I kept but tweaked). You should really go and watch her speed build, her candy shop ? chef's kiss , If I could...ughhh ! but I am on a CC diet rn😔. Also, I took a huge inspiration from @jaxplaysthesims (huuuuuge fan by the way!) and her series Sienna and the City, in which she had a gorgeous wellness studio.

A little on the BTI (Behind The Interior).

Opal Studio, from the name of the lady that runs it, is THE place to be for those who value stillness, quiet, peace and an unhurried and restorative yoga session.

Come and release all the tension accumulated in your body and your mind, be it from a stressful work environment or life's ordeals and challenges.

Opal, the Yoga instructor, is the sweetest person you'll ever meet, and she has made a mission for herself to make sure you leave her studio at peace and relaxed, but also toned and strong.

It is Lizzi's favourite place. and she is always dragging one of the girls whith her. Deja hates it (you can probably tell below 😅) , but Meg and Neela are starting to enjoy it.

A little on the BTI (Behind The Interior).

If you ask me, the grocery store is a must have when you like to play realistically in the Sims 4.

I really liked what @deesimsyt did with her Whole Foods, so I definitely kept the base and just tweaked it to my liking, using only the CC I alreay had.

I have to say, I am quite happy with the final result. It feels real, and lively with the help of @cherisi incredible functional deco sims ! I mean, talk about one talented member of the sims community ! 👏🏾

Also, maybe you got it by now, but, our main character loves to cook, so this is OBVIOUSLY (see what I just did here... 🤭😅😉) one of their favourite place to go! Fresh produce and ingredients, I mean..

So, any guesses on who that main character might be ? (I'm sure you do know, because, let's be honest, I have not been that sleek about it! 🤣)

But, just in case the suspense is killing some of you, the answer will be in the next post....😉

COMING SOON...

Can you spot the new faces ? *

FAST FACT : Just so you know, the story is taking place in Newcrest. In my world, Newcrest is something like 4 to 5 hours away from San Myshuno by car and one hour and a half by plane.

To build Newcrest as I wanted, I have taken inspiration from the city of Burlington, Vermont. So you'll find many bilds with red bricks and I have tried my best to (I hope) capture the spirit of Burlington in my reno of Newcrest.

Also, as I am absolutely not a builder, I have to give a big shout out to all the incredible builders in the sims comunity that have helped make my vision come true, being with lots they shared on the gallery or on Tumblr.

I will soon post a series about some of the lots I have created and / or renovated for our story to have the perfect setting.

If there is one place that you must always have in a save file, let it be your coffee shop ! right ? It's so versatile! romantic date ? professional meeting ? quick catch p with a friend ? meeting a realtor ? study session ? you name it!

A little on the BTI (Behind The Interior).

I looove a good coffee shop! Don't you ? Obviously the vibes here are very much ispired by the famous Starbucks Coffee chain, but you know how eventhough it is a chain, each Starbucks has its own vibe, well I went with that.

I figured, why not use the same brick accents as in the yoga studio and build from there.

I am not going to lie, I loooove the final result ! Just watching these pictures definitely makes me feel the vibe in there. The hushed atmosphere, the smell of coffee, the faint music and the muted conversations...such a vibe !

Fun fact: I myself, am not a coffee person at all ! But I love the smell of it! 😉 what about you ?
