The TORTURE REPORT not so shocking...

I've heard a few news stations talk about it, each expressing a level of surprise that there aren't violent riots and protests going on in retaliation. Americans knew, any American who's watched movies or TV knew, even if they didn't realize they knew.

Think it's coincident that entertainment hired former Operatives as consultants to make the "entertainment" more realistic? Think it's a coincident that years after Government condoned torture exposure through several movies and TV shows demonstrating a likeness to actual events, we're now seeing a report to confirm it happened?

I wouldn't be surprised if this is just a means to gauge reactions, see where our moral lines have shifted. I also wouldn't be surprised if it's intended to distract people from the increasing number of police brutality cases.
