The best bit about Mildred “saving” HB from the fire in this one is despite the fact that she is stood right next to her colleagues Mildred still, somehow, thinks she’s in trouble, and they’re all just ignoring the fact she is being consumed by some weird smoke for some reason. At least in the 1998 version she was actually “fighting” a fire, and in the book was on her own seemingly in a trance. Still got to love Mildred’s well meaning intentions I guess. Is it the 8th yet?
