Do y'all know how there is a myth about vampires feeling the urge to count spilled rice, but they deny it, yet do it "just to be sure." Yeah, imagine this with Mother Miranda, but instead about her bird/crow tendencies and how she would probably encounter a lost, shiny necklace and force herself to skip past it, because she's trying not to be affected. But in the end she takes it, because "it's too pretty to be left just like that."
