avery  freezes,  shaking  her  head  with  an  exasperated  sigh.  how  did  they  end  up  here?  “you  already  know  how  i  feel  about  you.”  she  finally  admits,  the  words  bitter  and  frustrated.  what  she  feels  is  enough  to  keep  her  from  walking  away,  even  after  discovering  she’s  been  pulled  into  meddling  in  someone  else’s  marriage  —  something  so  pathetic  that  if  anyone  had  suggested  it  months  ago,  she  would  have  laughed  right  in  their  face.  “what  makes  you  think  i  could  be  any  help  in  plotting  a  murder?”
