I remember you talking about it. If it wasn't you just ignore this ask.

If it was you, do you know if the author is ok?

Last I remember about them is that they broke a finger during that FITF concert with the huge storm. I have lost the fic so I don't know if they're ok nor do I know if they posted more.

Chapter 21 snippet to prepare you for the adorableness of the next few chapters. There has to be some comfort in hurt/comfort.

*Beep* *Beep*

Harry blindly searches for his phone beside his pillow, trying to turn off his annoying alarm. He grunts in frustration when his hands come up empty, forcing himself to actually open his eyes, propping himself on his elbow as he searches. Finally, he finds the still-ringing device and hits the snooze button. His eyes close, thankful he has another ten minutes before he really has to get up. 

It’s getting harder and harder to talk his omega into leaving the bed, into walking away from the comfort it finds here. He snuggles back underneath the covers, even though the house has heating, the cool September air seeps into everything and has Harry wanting to stay cocooned in the heat. He feels an arm wrap around him, tugging on his arm gently, pulling him closer to the warmth of the body fitted behind him. 

“‘Morning,” Louis mumbles into his shoulder blade, his breath tickling the skin there.

Chapter 22 snippet! I am absolutely loving writing Louis’ growth throughout this story.

“Hey, Li,” he whispers, trying not to wake Harry up. “You can sit now, I’m okay.”

Liam moves slowly forward, sitting on the stool but never taking his eyes off Louis, just in case. 

“I’m sorry for growling earlier.” Louis is a bit embarrassed by the way his alpha had reacted. He wishes he could control it better, but it’s even harder than usual when it comes with the need to protect Harry. 

“Don’t worry about it, man. We both knew this would be hard for your alpha. Nobody wants their omega hurting. Even non-feral alphas would be on edge.”

“Not my omega,” Louis corrects him.

“Sure, whatever you say,” Liam smirks as he looks at the way Harry is curled against Louis’ side.

Chapter 21 snippet! This one will be out on Friday and whew, these therapy scenes are tough. 

“Maybe, but it’s not that easy. I can’t -” his hand falls to the scar on his skin, still as ugly as deep as ever. “I can’t belong to someone again. I don’t want to cut off Louis, but I can’t. I don’t think I’ll ever want another relationship, I just want what we have now to not change.”

“Who said you had to belong to him if you admit you want to embrace your soul bond?”

“That’s what being someone’s omega means,” he explains. Helene’s a beta, he thought that she’d understand since she works here and everything, but maybe she can’t fully understand. “This mark means I belong to Jake. He controls my every move. If he found me right now, he’d have complete control of my life. Where I live, who I talk to, what I eat. Everything.”

“I feel it’s important to point out that embracing your soul bond doesn’t mean physically bonding. But apart from that, do you think that Louis would want to control you like that?”

Harry’s brain immediately supplied him with the memory of Louis’ bitter and angry scent when he explained how Jake had treated him, memories of how Louis treated his omega sisters, of how he always respected Harry.
