I love FF VIII! I think it has one of the most entertaining and well developed stories of the whole franchise. My only recommendations are Silent Hill 1 and 2, and Resident Evil 2 is great as well. Enjoy yourself!
I agree! The story is definitely unique and I love the futuristic setting, though I also like the more traditional fantasy elements in the FF series. And I still remember how stunning the game looked back in 1999. The graphics and the cutscenes were something most of us had never seen before.
I also love the Silent Hill series and I've played RE1, 2, Code Veronica X and RE4 and I enjoyed them all :)

This is my interpretation of the description "about her ears". You could certainly interpret "close to her head" to mean shorter, but I'm pretty sure that's mostly there to rhyme with thread, and in my opinion a bob IS close to your head if you start out with waist length hair. Or yards and yards of magic hair.

I think the text supports either of these, really. Plus, they both look fabulous. I find the longer hair more fun to draw, but that's just me.
Her hair is long enough for her to twine flowers in it when Celegorm first sees her:

And by the time she confronts Morgoth, it's falling "about her shoulders":
It's had some time to grow out between leaving Doriath and getting to Angband, but it seems to be doing so at a more reasonable rate now, and my hair sure doesn't grow all that fast.
So yeah, I personally don't think she cut it much shorter than the bottom of her ears. You're free to think otherwise, naturally!
Considering that Lúthien cast spells to grow her hair ridiculously long, and then cut it all off to make a magic cloak and a rope to escape from the treehouse her dad locked her in, I don't really see the parallel to Rapunzel as inappropriate? (If I was doing Tangled fanart - which has happened - Rapunzel would have a smaller, turned up nose, a more pointed chin, a more rounded jawline, and freckles. I imagine the two women looking quite different.)

Very true and I totally agree although I think she was rushing in general (she seemed a bit faster than the background music). I've seen some of her Wicked lives on youtube and I know she can really hit it. I guess as a fan, I was just eagerly waiting for her to nail it and was just disappointed when she couldn't.

I don't know. I try to stay away from "offensive" things (i don't think I really post offensive things anyways). I'm always surprised at when I *don't* lose followers. All the times I'm arguing with someone it's pretty steady but... I honestly don't know what I did. *shrugs* it's ok. I'm just always curious. Also thank you! ^_^
