Cedar Correspondences & Associations
So here's a fun fact. The juniperus virginiana is the eastern redcedar or just the red cedar, but it's also/actually a juniper tree - its other names include the eastern juniper, red juniper, or virginian juniper.
There's also the juniperus ashei, the cedar, mountain or post cedar, or ashe or blueberry juniper.
So while junipers are cedars and not all cedars are junipers (it's very confusing and you'll be going down a Wikipedia rabbit hole for hours), this post is focused on cedar correspondences and associations. Like I did for the hickory and pecan post, there will be a follow-up post where I talk about junipers specifically.
