21 июня 1915 года в дачном поселке Кунцево Казимир Малевич написал свою самую знаменитую картину - “Черный квадрат”
Картина “Чёрный квадрат” Казимира Малевича – одно из самых обсуждаемых в мире полотен, эдакий прорыв в жанре беспредметной живописи. На самом деле Малевич в разные годы нарисовал целых четыре “Чёрных квадрата”, и все они различаются между собой оттенками и текстурой. В Третьяковской галерее выставлена самая первая картина, та самая, что была создана им в 1915 году, за два года до революции.
По задумке художника, “Чёрный квадрат” не является самостоятельным произведением. Он входит в состав триптиха наряду с “Чёрным кругом” и “Чёрным крестом”. Оба этих полотна Малевич создал в тот же год, что и свою первую картину. С них он тоже делал разные авторские копии, которые участвовали в различных выставках по всему миру.
Если долго смотреть на знаменитую картину, можно в ней что-то разглядеть. Причём разные люди видят разные образы – кому-то там чудится человеческий силуэт, кому-то ещё – стволы деревьев, а кто-то даже утверждает, что видит там фигуру жирафа.
Помимо “Чёрного”, существуют также “Красный” и “Белый” квадраты, также созданные Казимиром Малевичем. Красный, правда, имеет скорее оранжевый оттенок… Впрочем, эти полотна несколько менее известны.
Малевич не был настоящим первопроходцем в этом жанре. Задолго до него, в начале 17-го века, британский философ Роберт Фладд в качестве иллюстрации к своему трактату изобразил чёрный прямоугольник. По задумке Фладда, он символизировал собой бесконечную черноту Вселенной перед появлением в ней мироздания. Однотонные полотна творил и французский живописец Альфонс Алле, отличавшийся своеобразным чувством юмора. Он тоже нарисовал белый, чёрный и красный квадраты.
Однажды сотрудники Третьяковской галереи обнаружили, что “Чёрный квадрат” Малевича, оказывается, висит вверх ногами. Сколько он провисел в таком состоянии – неизвестно, но, скорее всего, много лет. И всё это время никто ничего не замечал.
В Советском Союзе долгое время проводилась направленная травля против некоторых художественных жанров изобразительного искусства, в частности, против абстракционизма. Поэтому “Чёрный квадрат”, как и другие картины Малевича, не выставлялся на публике около 40 лет. Тогда даже появился политический анекдот: “Идёт по улице художник-абстракционист, а за ним — два реалиста в штатском”.
Несмотря на то, что с творчеством Малевича ценители искусства из стран Запада были знакомы, оригиналы его картин не покидали СССР на протяжении почти столетия. “Чёрный квадрат”, созданный в 1915 году, впервые был отправлен на выставку за рубеж лишь в 2003 году. Хотя в 1923 на одной выставке картин в Италии была представлена одна из созданных им самим авторских копий знаменитого полотна.
Сам Казимир Малевич считал “Чёрный квадрат” главным произведением в своей жизни. Поэтому на похоронах художника, точнее, на проходившей по этому случаю панихиде, на стене висел оригинал картины (авторская копия 1923 года), тело покойного было накрыто холстом с чёрным квадратом, ещё один квадрат был изображён на гробу, а везли его на катафалке с аналогичным изображением на капоте.
Образ чёрного квадрата нашёл своё продолжение и в других произведениях Малевича. Он часто встречается в многофигурных композициях за его авторством, где является одним из элементов.

I noticed a few days ago, a mysterious stone appeared on my window, next to my front door. It was so weird, because it couldn't be any regular stone from the street or buildings. It is black, and seemed like a crystal.
Something inside me told me it was from Loki. Then today, I received the confirmation from him. It's a black quartz, and he put it there to protect my home and I. All I got do it's cleaning and energizing it.
I found this act so cute. Because I am always asking to Loki to protect our home, and to protect me! For me, this act means how much he cares and loves me. And again, he confirmed it to me by making a heart with his candle wick:
I have no words to tell how much I love you Loki. I'm deeply grateful. Only YOU understand that. 🖤

Like with the things that are quartz-based, quartz itself can fade in sunlight. I've also heard that its dust is toxic, so don't inhale quartz.
