Ok I have two anime to recommend to you, from vastly different genres. Bacanno! - basically supernatural fantasy set in the 1920's US on a train. Mushishi - a quiet, artistic anime about a scientist who studies spiritual creatures few normal folk can see.
Ooh I’ve heard of both but haven’t gotten to watch either! They both sound pretty interesting! I don’t know much about Mushishi, but I know a few people who really loved it. And I’ve heard that Bacanno! is similar to DRRR, which I didn’t enjoy very much, but I’m open to trying it. :)

That's actually really fascinating. I didn't know about this tradition, and I have Celtic roots in my family. I like it; I might start making Feb 1st an honorary cleaning day just because. We cleaned a lot last week, but I have to do laundry today, so I'll say that this counts. Maybe we'll start a fire tonight. Downside? today's sunny! Maybe not a bad side, but could mean longer winter??
Yeah, here the weather’s kinda mediocre today... Like it’s really overcast, but I know it’s not going to snow because it snowed yesterday. And all the snow that was on the ground is melting now, too.
