What other history ships do you sail? As a former history major, this is relevant to my interests.
Let's do 1,2,&3 for ASoIaF, shall we?
oh dear
1) What OTPs in your fandom(s) do you just not get?
Let’s get it out of the way: Brienne/Hyle Hunt has never made and will never make any sense to me. even if you don’t like Jaime/Brienne, I cannot understand what there is to that ship.
I’m not sure there are any others? Petyr/Sansa creeps me the fuck out, but I suppose that’s just the way of things in a queen-in-training narrative like that. As long as it ends in Littlefinger/Moon Door, I’m good.
2. Are there any popular fandom OTPs you only BroTP?
Sort of answered this before, but I’m not generally a shipper of Starkcest, though certain terrible people on this site can make me doubt that once in a while.
Errr…I can’t think of any others? Then again it is 3:50 AM and I’m listening to filk music from 4000 miles away soooo
3. Any fandoms that don’t appeal to you?
Errr…there are certainly large chunks of the fandom. I find Cersei utterly fascinating in a morbid terrible yet brutally sympathetic way, but I feel the exact same about Tyrion. Which is why I wrote this post. Both sides can get rather…heated.
I mean, basically any part of the fandom that finds Gerold Dayne a more compelling character than Catelyn Stark.
I don’t know - the entire fandom is a mess, tbh, but I’ve found a few of the best corners and hang there.
♕ am I too late for this? Also hey hello how have you been?
Hey, there! I've been procrastinating school work and drowning in fandom feels. So, you know, the usual. I'm a creature of habits. Everything good with you?

King of Mind Blowingly Well Written Metas
I'll accept this. Though I haven't written any recently. Mostly it's just dramatic tagging.
misterfalcon replied to your post: Garlan Tyrell
I never even considered Garlan may’ve murdered Joffrey, but I love this idea so much I might vomit.
He's just TOO good that he can't possibly exist in Westeros without having done some nefarious deeds. It makes sense, though! It had to be a Tyrell and one that wasn't really on the radar-- Garlan was present at the meal, he is well regarded by his family no doubt, Loras certainly wasn't informed of the proceedings because he was a Kingsguard member and that'd put him in too much danger, Mace was clearly oblivious. It's a possibility that Olenna might have done it herself, but I doubt she'd 'dirty' her hands in such a manner.
But Garlan is trusted, he's not noticed often, he plays the role of the relaxed, laid-back sort of dude well, and he's obviously dedicated to his family. He could have easily moved around a lot during the wedding feast, and slipping the poison in when it came time would have been little trouble for him, I think!

i don’t think dany’s ever mentioned the tullys re rebellion against her father? she called the starks/lannisters the “usurpers dogs” so perhaps since house tully didn’t have as strong a connection to the baratheons/lannisters shell be more receptive?
Definitely don't remember it either, so ... yeah what you said XD I think their current hatred of House Lannister is too good to waste. Dany has a very intense sense of justice but she can also be very pragmatic. I think she'd be foolish to not "tap that" as it were (lolol idk). But it would be hard to make Stark or Tully countenance a schism with the other, I feel? IDK she still has to come to terms with what Aerys did and, yano, how that makes her feel.

I don’t really think Dany will visit the Sins of the Fathers on the head of Edmure, however. He was…what, ten? when Robert Rebelled?
Yeah, but there's the principle of the thing, and also dynastic concerns. But I don't think they really are very strong in the case of House Tully for above reasons. Of course she has no reason to be very nice to them either, unless they can do something for her. They don't have a lot to offer right now.
