"Avery! It's Halloween." They're on the Andromeda, and Al and the remaining Hecate kids are desperately trying to explain their love for it as Avery walks in. { A Halloween Kronos army flashback maybe?? }
Avery jumped back a little. "Jesus Al, are you tryin' ta give a heart attack?" Her best friends Carmen and Astrid had already strayed away from her, talking to other Hecate kids.
Hazel and Alabaster
Hazel couldn’t stop crying as her daddy shouted at her. He was mad at her for dropping the grocery bag he had been making her carry. Lots of food had fallen out and onto the floor but it wasn’t just that – the bag had had a glass jar in it and it had shattered and it was all her fault. The moment it had shattered she had started crying because she knew how angry her daddy would be and he was angry.
“I’m sorry I’m sorry I’m sorry!” She cried. She wished there was something she could do to make it better but there was nothing she could do. It was broken. She wished she were a witch like Hermione in Harry Potter so she could use a spell to fix it. But she couldn’t. She couldn’t fix it and so her daddy would punish her when they got home.
“You’re so stupid and useless!” Her daddy shouted at her. He didn’t even seem to care they were in public. But it didn’t matter. She was invisible. No one ever noticed her or how her parents treated her. “Daddy I’m really sorry,” she cried but he didn’t care. “All you had to do was carry the bag and look what you’ve done!” Her daddy shouted. “Pick everything else up and put it back into the bag now!” She dropped to the floor crying and started picking up the food and things that had fallen out of the bag trying to be careful to avoid the broken glass. Her hands trembled and she ended up dropping something she’d just picked up. All she could think about was how when she got home she was going to be punished for this. “Hurry up!” Her daddy snapped and she scrambled to pick things up and put them back into the bag, still crying.

{ yep. And yes, we do. There’re never Ethans around. I’m not sure why. Actually, no Kronos kids stick around for long, not even Lukes. }
My kingdom for a bunch of former Kronos kids banding together to survive the world.
I'm gonna start calling Alabaster and Avery The Kronos Kids.
"I'm sure you have better things to do. Like say leaving me alone to get my work done. WIth you breathing over my shoulder I'm more likely to blow up this place then finish this spell."
Continued from here.
Felix took a seat at the end of the log, farthest away from the boy and his little drawing, his eyes narrowed as he tried to think of some way to start up a conversation. Be social, Felix - the boys will better appreciate you for it. Easy for Peter Pan to say - the boy was practically a social butterfly, flitting from one topic to the next, one conversation to another. Felix tried to think up something to say for the first few minutes but nothing sounded right so he sighed and turned his attention to the other's drawing, eyes unseeing as he tried to think of something to say.
