The Throne of Glass series absolutely wrecked me for all other fantasy series. I have tried. I really have with both of these books. However each time I try I hear the immortal words of Rowan Whitethorn: There is nothing I can give you. Nothing I want to give you. You are nothing to me and I do not care. And then I hear in Celaena's voice: I do not care about you. I do not care about your bow and arrows. I do not care about your dragons or your kingdom.
All I care about is Aelin and Rowan and Lysandra and Aedion and Dorian and Elide and Manon and Astein and Abraxos and Fenrys. And Nox, I always liked that guy.

Another theory so just hear me out:
The Bone Carver said that his older brother Koschei had been imprisoned in a lake in the mountains for a long time. Now, for the Bone Carver, a long time means centuries or eons or something.
Rowan made Aelin rescue Luca from on top of a lake he had frozen. And there was a one eyed monster in that lake. He had been there for a very long time. And nobody knew how he had gotten there.
What if the universes overlapped at some time and Koschei slipped from one to the other because he was incredibly powerful and he didn't or couldn't go back?
Is the monster in both lakes Koschei??
