Talking Her Down

[Misty]
She felt Nibs holding her and stayed silent as she let her hands wrap around Nibs. She had never been that angry before and she didn’t think she could ever get that angry.
[Nibs]
Nibs listened to the conversation between Zach and Hope and he knew he had to take the venom out of Hope but he wanted to make sure that Misty was okay first. “How about we go and get some air princess.” He tells her before leading her out of the room so that she could get out of the room which was feeling so heavy.
[Misty]
Misty walked out with Nibs and was just sort of numb. It took a lot out of her to shift to her pureblood form. “I...I was so angry….how...did you feel that? We’re angry too?” She asked Nibs looking at him.
[Nibs]
“I could feel what you were feeling. I thought it was just from me fighting with the king but I see where it was coming from now.” He brought her over to sit down on a nearby bench. “You are tired. You should feed.” Nibs tells her before offering his wrist to her.
[Misty]
Misty sat on the bench and shook her head, “No I’m fine.” She said looking at him. “Hope...she heard...you-” Misty stopped and looked down trying to figure out how to tell Nibs. “When you were having your nightmare, you accidentally hit me. I am assuming you were hitting someone in your dream. I didn’t want to tell you because I knew you would blame yourself and not just say it wasn’t you. Which it wasn’t. I am not scared of you and I know you would never have done it if you were awake.”
[Nibs]
“Do you mean before the coma?” He asks, “When you were sleepwalking...I was too?” He asks as he thought back and remembers that and he saw the mark on her cheek. “That was from me?”
[Misty]
“Yes.” She nodded before looking at him. “But it doesn’t matter. I healed, I was fine. I am fine. You didn’t hit me like Ryan or Finn used to. It was a nightmare. Our baby had done that to you, it wasn’t your fault and I refuse to let you think it was. I am asking you to please not blame yourself.”
[Nibs]
“If it was the baby then it wasn’t me. I would never intentionally hit you and I know that. I mean it is upsetting to find out that you didn’t tell me but I understand why you would keep that from me. I know you are okay. You didn’t hurt yourself did you?”
[Misty]
“Hurt myself? No...no I didn’t.” She told him. She leaned back against the bench and looked at the blood covering her dress.
[Nibs]
“You should still feed. I know that shifting took a lot out of you. You are tired.” He tells her while offering his wrist to her again. “Please.”
[Misty]
“No Nibs I am fine, please stop.” She said pushing his arm away. “I told you to stop doing that.” Misty told him as she looked at him. “So please stop.”
[Nibs]
“Okay fine, fine. But we need to cut this trip short. This kingdom is hiding something and I don’t like it. I think they want to use our son for something. Don’t you think it is rather odd how fast they were willing to want another wedding from our family after we told them about Hope?”
[Misty]
“Fine, yeah okay.” She nodded in agreement. “But...I’m staying.”
[Nibs]
“No, when I said that we are leaving we are leaving. Do you know why they wanted you to come here alone?” He spoke to her through her mind so that others couldn’t listen in on the conversation. They are...Misty they are taking your blood when you sleep. I was looking into it and I sent Zach here to look into it as well. I had my suspicions about this kingdom and I didn’t have proof until you went to check on Hope.”
I was going to tell you about it but I wasn’t 100% sure. And I didn’t want to blow it up unless I knew for a fact it was true. He tells her before reaching into his pocket and pulling out a vile of her blood with the kingdom’s writing on it.
Every time we visit they have been finding a way to get it from you. I told Zach to not leave Hope’s side because I didn’t want them trying to take her blood. And if they found out she has my venom in her, they could weaponize that. He tells her as he hands her the vile.
[Misty]
Misty took the vile and looked over it before handing it to Nibs. “Wow Nibs, you have done a lot of things but this is a little extreme don’t you think? They wouldn’t do that. They aren’t doing that.” She said getting up. “If you actually thought that was happening why would you let me come alone? Why would you do that? To get your proof? Stay away from me Nibs.” She told him before leaving him.
[Nibs]
“I am not kidding Misty.” He tells her before it dawned on him as he heard the little baby screaming. “Hero. Where is Hero?” He asks before shifting and running off to find him.
[Misty]
She went with Nibs to see Hero and saw the kingdom’s nurses trying to take him, “Hey it’s okay sweetie. I told you you had to go to the doctor.” She smiled as she moved to take Hero in her arms and held him closely to her. “See Nibs. Nothing is happening.”
[Nibs]
Nibs watched as the nurses put the blood that they took from Hero on the cart. It was in a container that was labeled with Hero’s name and each vile had a different number written on it. When the nurses saw that his attention was on the cart, he pushed past them and looked at each one. They had a trial number on them and they were starting to turn different colors.
“Something is wrong. What did yo-” His sentence was cut short when he felt a needle going into his neck causing him to fall to the floor. He saw them take Misty out of the room and pretended to pass out. The nurses turned their attention to Hero and he pulled out his phone to send a message since he was close enough to the crib to hide the phone.
[Misty]
Misty heard someone calling her name and followed them with Hero in her arms before being told that the King and Queen wanted her. “Hm okay.” She nods before handing Hero to the nurse. She looked around for Nibs but she felt someone taking her hand and leading her away.
