the storms we had here in tucson last night were so amazing.

god i'm so jealous of you guys you get the best summer weather imaginable all we get here is one massive heat wave after another either dry or moist but with completely clear skies it's so boring

Tainted - closed for mistyscng

The first one stood in the middle of the street for almost a whole minute, looking at them, before it started to walk.

It was slow. The Doctor realized there was something off about that woman, about the way she moved. He didn't know there were human colonies in this system until they stepped outside the TARDIS, but as soon as he looked to the sky he understood they hadn't landed where they were supposed. But he had wanted to explore. And now he realized it had probably been a terrible idea.

"Not human... Not anymore, at least. What are you?" He muttered, taking a slow step forward. The creature reacted to him moving, awkardly shaking its arms towards him, and a guttural sound came out of its throat. Now that it was closer, it was easier to see it had been a woman -sometime ago. But the flesh was pale and rotten, and there were large pieces of the torso missing. A dark substance was dripping from inside every wound, down the eyes and mouth. Whatever had happened to this planet, it wasn't good. He felt sudden goosebumps, the ghost of a chill ran down his spine. Danger. It was a narrow street. They wouldn't be able to dodge the creature to keep going forward.

"We have to get out of here" He turned towards Misty, but then saw another creature approaching them from behind. Dangerously close, cutting their way back to the TARDIS. Cursing under his breath, he gave a quick look around and then headed for the nearest building, away from both things. There was a door. He tried to open it immediately.

There was a muffled sound of scratching coming from the other side.

He should have noticed.
