Story:
In a litter of four, Palekit was born to moor runner Whiteweed. With no kit sharing a trait with any tom in Windclan and Whiteweed firm on keeping the father a secret, rumors were quick to spread. In fact, the kits showed traits unfamilar to the Clan cats.
This especially applied to Palekit, her pale body making it difficult to differentiate from the white splotches on her frame. With the addition of her strange eyes, many became weary of her.
She was a relatively strange kit, preferring to spend time with the elders over her own littermates.
The elders fed her stories, detailing tales of evil rogues and the importance of Clan life and upholding the warrior code.
Those stories then twisted Palekit into one who followed the warrior code so close, believing she, the medicine cats, and the leader were the only ones who fully understood starclan.
When she was finally apprenticed, she was taken under the caring wing of Windclan's medicine cat, Mistystream. Being in a position of power seemed to delude the young she-cat, making her almost zealots with her beliefs of the warrior code. The elders praised her, the other younger cats seemed to avoid her, after all, she stripped anything fun from them.
Not a moon passed when Palepaw was unexpectedly woken in the middle of the night by her mother. She, along with Stormpaw, Snowpaw, and Breezepaw, were taken out of camp, apparently to meet their father.
Her littermates were excited, but Palepaw couldn’t be. With protest from the others, she stormed back to her den. A rogue! Her father was a rogue!
Three moons later, leaf-bare having set in, she had calmed down to a point of normal relaxation. That is, until she traveled to the Moonstone and saw that her littermates had all been mauled by dogs.
Grief tugged painful claws at her heart, swelling her throat, stinging her eyes. How could they have been lied to and left to die, all while Whiteweed knew and did nothing to help?
She kept that resentment to herself, seeming to become more critical and vengeful with each passing day. She hated her mother, who kept silent, who insisted that everything was alright. She hated that rouge that dared call himself her father.
But that wasn't what broke her. It was when she saw her mentor, whom she held so high, meet up with a tom from Thunderclan.
So, she waited-- waited calmly, buying herself time as she slowly whispered things to her mother and Mistystream to make them doubt themselves. Kirk had even started to grow bolder, joining Windclan.
Moons and moons passed, with the three cats growing more and more paranoid. Whiteweed became increasingly withdrawn, lashing out at the ‘former’ rogue, who only ever seemed to stare into the distance. Mistystream seemed quick to anger.
The symptoms always came after Palemist had spoken to them, or after they had eaten. Each time they grew weaker, symptoms growing more and more frequent and noticeable.
Then, she finally struck.
She lured Kirk out of camp first, feigning acceptance as she brought him to the border of Shadowclan, where she confronted him. She didn't need an excuse, she had broken the tom down enough that when she finally attacked him, he took it-- after all, Palemist was chosen by Starclan as Windclan's true Medicine cat.
Next was Whiteweed, who she waited for her grief to be at its peak after the death of her mate. She lured her to Fourtrees, ending her mother's life as she laid her onto Windclan's rock. When her body was discovered, vultures were picking at it.
Finally, Mistystream was next. She had followed her mentor to the Moonstone, where she committed her most violent murder, for her mentor had broken several codes-- so, she would execute her. Unfortunately, Mistystream was pregnant, so while the traitor died, so too did two innocent kits.
Palemist considered the kits’ deaths as a mercy kill. It would be hard to find a queen willing to feed two premature kittens, especially not half-Clan kits of a medicine cat.
The murder of her mentor left a scar on Windclan, and while Palemist took up Smallpaw as an apprentice, Mistystream's former mate would be the one to tear her down.
He had seen the whole thing, and while she was out collecting herbs, she was killed. For a medicine cat, she put up a fight, but she was no match for the more experienced Thunderclan warrior. She lead him through Shadowclan territory before making a desperate sprint across the Thunderpath.
Palemist met her end by a monster, and while she was expecting to be embraced by Starclan.. She was instead sent to the Dark Forest. After all, the warrior code does say that an honourable warrior does not need to kill other cats to win their battles
