Awww they’re so cute!!! Love the little hearts in Ryota’s eyes and how sweet Kyouko looks. Definitely brightened up my day, thanks for sending it!!!

Happy Birthday Ryota Mitarai!!!!

For his birthday, I wrote this fic for him and drew some doodles for his birthday relating to the fic. I was just gonna do the fic, but I was in a doodling mood, sooo...

To explain it some, though there will be spoilers for the fic series (including parts/chapters that haven't come out):

On the left top corner we have Junko and Ryota's first meeting. I love the scene where just... grabs his scarf in the anime, and that's the same/similar vibes here. Under that, we have Ryota's suicide attempt that happens in the story post-Chiaki's death. On the top left, we have Makoto waving at Ryota during the Future Foundation era and Chisa saving Ryota from drowning in the despair era post his suicide attempt. Finally, on the bottom left and right, we have Imposter and Mikan, modelled after the crying and smiling masks in theater

And of course, Ryota front and center aha. (I was also gonna draw Kyouko, but I ran out of room..)

I've been drawing a lot more recently. Very fun.

Anyway, happy birthday my specialist boy!!

Here, have some more Ryota drawings I commissioned, hope you like them.

Ohhh my god they're sooo cute!!! Let me give my thoughts picture by picture.

Picture one: he looks so tired!! He doesn't have bags under his eyes and yet you can tell from his expression. Which I really like, actually! I love the color scheme of Ryota and Chisa in Side: Despair compared to Side: Future in the anime, since they just look so much more vibrant and softer, whereas in future they look so dull and drained. Thought that was super clever shorthand to show how much the tragedy and Junko weighed on them, but I will always prefer the pallet of despair side more. It's just so aesthetically pleasing! So I love that they went with his despair side design.

Picture two: HES SO CUTE AND LITTLE!!! Love the sort of worried/judgemental expression on his face, especially with his wide eyes. He looks sooo cute, oh my god!!! Seems to be his despair arc design again, but with more muted colors like in future arc.

Picture three: more despair arc colors!! Extremely cute, love how unusual the posing is.

Picture four: first pic where he's smiling!! Look at his precious expression.

Picture five: KYOUKO AND RYOTA FOR THE WIN!!! I love their investigation duo dynamic in future arc, and this chibi pic of them is sooo cute!!! Plus I adore Ryota's scarf in despair arc so to see him sharing it with Kyouko here is precious. I can't get over how cute they look. The eyes are especially adorable; what a cute style! I'm assuming it's a romantic ship piece, which is really cute to see as I'm a fan of the pairing; I'm pretty much a fan of almost every Ryota rarepair I've come across lol. There's so many good ones! (Eventually thinking of doing a Makoto/Ryota/Kyouko poly fic but I'm not promising anything...) Of course I also just love platonic Kyouko/Ryota as well, so even if it's not outright shippy I'm happy lol. They just have such a good dynamic during future arc, don't they?

These definitely brightened my day!! Aha, did you perhaps send them because of the Ryota posting I've been doing? Love that my reputation is starting to become "Ryota Mitarai fan", I think I'm kind of known for being a Mikan and Junko fan by people, but Ryota is definitely up there in Danganronpa characters for me <3 probably my current favorite from DR3 rn. Though that rotates between Chisa, Ryota, and Ruruka... I adore them 🥺🥺🥺. Especially appreciate the pics today, since I'm kind of having a crappy day lol (I'm in the ER right now), but seeing Ryota has significantly made it better! Please please please feel free to send me even more Ryota content just in like... general, lol. I adore my boy so much 🥰
