I'm just wondering... Not that I have any issues with the match? I'm just curious about how you think they would get along (on a personal level, since most of your support for the match was based on their talent rather than individually?)
(Not mentioning names since I don't want to spoil xD!!! That was left out on purpose and I made sure to put a link <3)
That's actually the biggest uncertainty here...
I have more information about Saihara-kun, despite how self-conscious he is. He doesn't seem to have the same ability to avoid detection that Kirigiri-san has.
The lack of detail about her is exactly why I'm thinking there's some type of intentional--
Anyway. Heh.
He was easier to research, and he also seems to form friendships and alliances more easily than Kirigiri-san does - I believe that was also intentional for her.
There's a definite chance he'll be intimidated by her - not only because she's so confident and accomplished, but she's also kind of direct--
Hey, she's similar to Nanami-san that way, huh?
Being self-assured isn't the same as being cruel, but it can be intimidating sometimes - especially at the beginning.
I don't believe Kirigiri-san would push him away or avoid him - just because she doesn't require help, doesn't mean she would intentionally avoid partnership and teamwork, right? She may or may not need much companionship, but that doesn't mean she would be completely opposed.
I'm counting on Saihara-kun, that he won't get intimidated by her presence - I feel like he could really benefit from her, and probably learn to trust in his abilities more when he sees the talent they have in common is a gift instead of a curse.
I'm sure she has a lot of interesting stories to share, and might be more willing to trust a fellow Detective - more than someone who might use her experiences as tabloid gossip.
...
...
Maybe I'm wrong, but I feel like praise coming from Kirigiri-san would be more valuable to him because of her nature.
After all, wouldn't praise coming from somebody like her seem more genuine? She doesn't seem like the type of toss platitudes around, does she?
His self-consciousness would probably dissolve in no time if he could manage to work hard enough to impress somebody like her.
I just think keeping the fact that V3 takes place further into the future and just giving ships that are V3/THH or V3/DR2 significant age gaps would be pretty fun
like Kyoko/Shuichi but Kyoko's got a good 35 years on him to help play with that whole pre game Shuichi really liking Kyoko as a character thing (it might just have been detective characters in general i don't really care to look atm and can't remember but I don't think it makes a difference though)
or like Sayaka/Kaede where Sayaka's graduated from being an idol and has now spent a few years working as an actress. But now that's she's officially in her 40's she's realized she's never really given love a real chance since it's always been her dream over anything else and now she keeps running into this 20 something pianist that's so amazing at playing that it makes the whole room light up and she kind of hates how drawn she is to it even though it feels almost as nice as the spotlight had.
Ok so i think she is a beast with a Lot of internalized stuff (mostly pertaining to herself) and she bottled it up for a Looooooong time. a lot of her depression and self-hatred/self-doubt comes from the dysphoria stuff! she also has a bit of an irrational fear that being transfem will lose her her career (this isnt smth shes thought abt consciously bcs logically she knows its not true since kyouko is a trans woman detective & doing just fine).
she figures at out one day in her mid-20s when shes at home sick and she tries on one of kyoukos bras "as a joke" and then kyouko comes home to her "husband" sobbing for no discernible reason. so she walks her thru it both logically and emotionally (kyouko has experience w this bcs as previously mentioned shes a trans woman) and helps shuichi come to the realization that she is a Woman.
theyve been married for a couple of years but still havent legally changed their surnames bcs its kinda expensive and they already have lots of legal stuff in their jobs, they dont want more paperwork + they cant rlly decide who should take whose. but in the end, post girl-realization, shuichi decides to take kyoukos surname since she already has to do a name change anyway so why not kill 2 birds with one stone? her preferred name is shiho (like the prsk character lol) although she seriously considered shiori and ichika for a while.
she is soooo much happier once she transitions! shes like a whole new person shes happy she frolicks she skirt spinny. shes a lot more confident in herself and her skills. she also didnt think she wanted to have kids when she was still in the egg zone, but after realizing shes a woman shes like "actually i DO want to have kids! i just want to be a mom not a dad"
