Dating Mitaka Would Include...

Requested by: Anonymous -Laughing out loud as he recounts his rough days and makes fun of his superiors at night and all of his stories. -Jokingly threatening that they'll hear him -Snuggling until the last possible second that the two of you have before you have to get to work in the morning -If one of you misses dinner in the commissaries the other packs one up for you and brings it to your quarters so you don't go hungry -He has a million nicknames for you and almost never calls you by your actual name unless you have the occasional fight or it's in a professional setting -He finds ways to visit you or check up on you at work, where he flirts with you and gets you flustered -He's low key smooth as hell and he can think of things to say to you that make you weak in the knees -He refuses to leave a room until you're flushed red and smiling like an idiot -Not being able to keep your hands off each other when it's not in a professional setting -Slow and passionate kisses where you hold each other as tightly as possible -Telling the other to be safe and that you'll miss them if either of you have to switch ships or go to a different base for duty -Sending each other less than innocent messages via datapad in each other's absences -massaging each other's shoulders after a long day, taking turns removing each other's tension -Falling asleep tangled up closely to each other, arms wrapped around each other -Messing up his carefully gelled back hair and laughing at it ----------------- Request anything you'd like to see! When Lieutenant Mitaka Finds Out You Have Anxiety…

-He has a lot of questions at first, but he only wants you to answer if you’re willing to share. He wants to know what triggers your anxiety, what calms you down, if there’s anything he can do to make you more comfortable.-Mitaka is a good listener. He’ll let you talk about it when you want and leave you be when you don’t. Your well-being comes first.-If he ever sees you starting to get anxious, he tries to get close to you and speaks comforting words, letting you know that he’s there and will help you any way he can.-If there’s ever an anxiety attack triggered, say no more. Mitaka knows what to do. He swiftly removes you from the situation and begins breathing with you, trying to keep you calm.-Mitaka is very careful about what he does. He asks permission to do anything that may make you even the slightest bit anxious. The last thing he wants is to be one of the reasons you get triggered.-He’s a quiet person, which is very helpful. Unaggressive and unassuming, he feels happy when you tell him how much his help means to you because he’s never gotten much credit for anything he’s done right.

I am kind of sick of most popular interpretations of Mitaka x Reader. I decided, this fandom needs my atention.

I bet that:

Mitaka has a deep respect for the hierarchy. He develops an interest only in a woman on an equal position or slightly below, never above.

When lieutenant is into you, he makes sure you get distracted by him in every possible way. He bumps into you on every ocasion, accidentally touches your ar mor waist, confidentially winks at you. Slowly gets into your head, precisely making you fall for him as well.

Once you get to know Mitaka, you find out that he’s smooth as fuck. The man knows exactly how to make you blush, even though you’re not a shy little girl.

Sometimes, he says something downright dirty but then, tilts his head and frowns at your kittenish response, like it’s the biggest misunderstanding of his life. His smile makes you hate him. It isn’t actually a smile, really. Just a subtle spark in his eye, a fleeting delusion of his lips curving into a smile. He has no mercy, but you’d like that more often.

If Mitaka sees someone hitting on you, he does not interfere immediately. He lets the poor guy have his chance to get to know exactly what’s already out of his reach, before appearing next to you out of nowhere. Pulling your waist closer to his side, looking you in the eye and smiling slightly, he will make you leave the crushed almost-a-rival in the middle of the sentence.

He always appreciates small brakes in work for his daily dose of kisses with you, saying that they are improving his efficiency. Nothing more than kisses though. No matter how much on fire you are. He belives that a certain level of professionalism has to be kept.

You cartainly cannot describe Mitaka with a word ‘modest’. He can keep his mouth shut in the presence of any kind of superior but rarely stops being cocky around those, who are equal to him. However, everyone agrees (including you, for he is telling you lots of things; especially at night) that everything Mitaka says, is true.

When You Tell Lieutenant Mitaka You Love Him…

-He’s flustered at first, of course. It’s been a long time since he was told he was loved.-He trained at the First Order Academy for many years, and they weren’t the most forgiving. Your words bring a warmth to him he’s never felt before.-Mitaka doesn’t really know what to say to your right away; he chuckles shyly and gives you a small smile, and his cheeks turn a soft pink.-He wishes he didn’t hesitate; he doesn’t want there to be any doubt that he returns your feelings, because I can assure you, he does.-Mitaka stumbles slightly for speech, but you can decode his mumbled words easily. He’s trying to say he feels the same, he feels exactly the same, and he’s overjoyed to hear that you feel this way.-He has to go back to work, but his parting gift is a sweet, gentlemanly kiss to your knuckles: it’s a promise to return and talk more, later.

Mitaka’s reaction to finding out you were sent to deliver bad news to Kylo Ren?

Poor Mitaka, he didn’t deserve that in the movie. Protect Mitaka 2k Always.

When Lieutenant Mitaka Finds Out You Were Sent To Deliver Bad News To Kylo Ren…

-He is terrified for you. He’s been threatened and even attacked by Kylo before, and knows for a fact that you don’t deserve to be hurt by Ren.-Mitaka volunteers to go deliver the message for you. Actually, he straight-up begs you to let him do it. He doesn’t want you getting hurt or killed, but you don’t want that for him, either.-He settles for walking you down to meet with the commander, nervously fiddling with his hands the whole way. He gives you plenty of advice; don’t look Ren in the eye if danger arises, don’t say anything too smart or semi-threatening. -Mitaka waits outside for you, almost ready to take off his gloves and start chewing his own nails over the fact that you may not make it out alive. He’s generally a nervous man.-When the telltale lightsaber crashes start, Mitaka doesn’t know what to do: bury his face in his hands and pray for the best, or burst in and risk his own skin to save you from a lasery demise.-He lets out a huge sigh of relief when you come out okay, making sure no one is around before he hugs you and tells you he’s glad you haven’t been hurt.-Really, Mitaka just loves you so much and cares about you with all his heart, and he couldn’t stand for anyone to hurt you.

-He’s very nervous at first, but then, he’s a nervous and timid person. Mitaka is constantly under pressure to be the absolute best at what he is at all times; he’s afraid that he won’t measure up to what your family perceives him to be. You have no doubts they’ll love him, but he has plenty.-Mitaka is very relaxed with your younger brother; each seems rather apprehensive to meet the other. Your brother eyes Mitaka with fascination, quietly wondering how a man with such a high status can be so jumpy. It’s your brother, though, who gets Mitaka to open up. Your brother is particularly happy when Mitaka lets him wear his lieutenant’s hat.-Your parents, on the other hand, cause Mitaka quite a bit of stress, despite being very accommodating with him. He stumbles over his speech and can hardly look your father in the eye. You pull Mitaka aside, take his hands on your own, and coax him into looking at you; you promise he’ll be fine, you’ll be with him the whole time, and you wouldn’t have brought him if you weren’t completely sure he would do well. Once you go back, Mitaka proudly takes his place beside you, and you smile as he shows that he is exactly the wonderful man your parents know from you that he is.

When Dating Lieutenant Mitaka…

-He doesn’t want to keep your relationship so hidden, but he doesn’t want to get either of you in trouble from one of the higher-ups. He begrudgingly confines your relationship to private areas on the Finalizer and nowhere else.-He’s very shy, especially at first. He might stumble over the first few dates, but trust me, he adores you. He just needs some adjusting.-He’s a hand-holder. It’s more discrete and easier to hide than kisses or hugs, so any time he can, he’ll lace your hands throughout the day.-Mitaka is the king of thoughtful gifts. They’re not normally big and expensive, but they usually mean a lot, and that’s all that matters.-So much blushing. He’s such a cute and shy little baby, and the first few weeks, you can expect plenty of blushing from him.-He keeps you off of Kylo Ren and General Hux’s radar; he’d rather he get in trouble than you, and although it’s very sweet of him to think like that, you would rather face the consequences of miscalculations than have Mitaka come back upset from the bridge.

When You Offer Lieutenant Mitaka Your Hand To Hold…

-He’s a little engrossed in his work to notice at first, and he expects you to be handing him a datapad from Hux or one of the other officers.-Mitaka is pleasantly surprised at the warmth that suddenly manifests in his outstretched hand. It’s only then that he notices that it isn’t any technology at all, but your own hand in his.-He blushes when he looks at your intertwined hands, not sure what to say or do but very obviously liking it.-Stuttering a thank-you, he resumes his work the best he can with one hand, though it becomes clear he’ll need it back.-You offer to help him and do the work his other hand is too busy holding you to accomplish, working as one person, and it’s honestly super-cute.

When Lieutenant Mitaka Is Jealous…

-He gets more insecure than jealous, and it likely stems from a closeness to you with a higher-level officer.-Mitaka is a man of brains, not brawn, and it makes him rather uneasy when he sees you laughing and talking with bigger, more physically intimidating men.-It makes him drift a little from you. He’s convinced that you don’t want him anymore, that you’ve seen someone more desirable and that you wish to be with them instead (and if you did, I’d probably punch you because how dare you that muffin is so sweet and precious, I’d never let him go).-He confronts you about it, though rather timidly, and it causes you some confusion at first as to why he’s trying to tell you these things, but when you come to understand his apprehension, you just smile and kiss his cheek, promising him that there’s nobody who could ever steal you away from him. (And you better be telling the truth. I’m watching you. That is my baby and if you break his heart, I will find you.)
