Welcome, Mayor Kyoko!

I have officially began production on the town of Mitaki and Mayor Kyoko is so eager to get her hands in the dirt! She's got a lot of work ahead of her before she can start bragging on her little haven. There have been rumors of an old, familiar face moving into town, in an old cottage in the woods. A former mayor from a distant utopia.. maybe she has some tips to share with our young buck mayor? To be continued!

Unless you were wanting to carve out some space in a wall, the hidden safe compartment is really more of an extra not at all hidden storage area.  To that effect, I put it in the bathroom as a sort of extra medicine cabinet space.  It's worked pretty well there, having just enough space for some shaving and tooth brushing accessories, with the added benefit of being an instant reminder of the time right out of the shower. Now, out of the box I had problems.  There were no screws connecting the clock with the safe.  So when I took it out of the box it all fell apart.  I'd have to assume it was meant to be together, since it gave no indication otherwise.  And although I did have the right sized screws to put it together, I really don't think I should have had to do that in the first place. Also, it does make a decently auditable tick with the seconds hand.  I didn't mind it, but it might be just loud enough to bother some people. Other than that, this is a pretty good clock for the price.  After a week, I've not had to readjust it at all.  And as plain as it is, it also means it's extremely easy to read. Build quality us almost entirely plastic, but this doesn't seem to be a bad thing.  I did have a slight issue with shutting it when I opened the compartment, as the clock face does seem to be just heavy enough to cause the entire works to droop down, and not slot in squarely every time it's shut. Overall, it's under $15, and it tells the time.  The storage space, in spite of it being the main gimmick, is really more of a novelty.  But depending on case usage, it does have it's place. I did receive this wall clock with storage as a free promotional evaluation sample from the seller.
