So when we talk about people taking accountability for their actions...what does that mean?
What do we expect and hope to see from abusers and terrible people after they've been caught/admitted to their wrong doings? Do we just want them permanently exiled from regular human activities? Is there any hope that they'll ever be better and be able to properly reintegrate into society?
I'm a big believer in abolition and redemption, I want to see human improvement and change, and I want us to encourage that. On the other hand, some people will never do better no matter what options are given to them over and over again
Loool honestly this long schpiel is basically what we talked about this week on our podcast - Alex and (especially) Mitch are NOT great people. Is there the possibility that they will (or could have been), redeemed for the bad things they've done? Mitch is dead now so it's too late, but was his remorse real? Could he have have found a way to being a truly better person?
