Human form FMs, not to be confused with the real humans they are taking the shape of. Ok, so maybe there is little to no difference. However, I did not have these sheets before for Chiyokichi, Ikuta-sensei, or Jean Couronne.

The character sheets are followed up by FM-related backgrounds. First there is the NES-controller-like device that Cancer took from Ophiuchus and used to create an iceberg and ride that giant chunk of ice in Ep. 47, destroying the city while creepily licking a popsicle.

I don’t know if that slender-bodied, mustachio-ed man is meant to just give a height comparison for Cancer Bubble, but he is a wacky-waving-inflatable-tube guy-sort of nightmare fuel!

Then a bunch of backgrounds for the FM-ians hidden den, which has the one creepy temple-like room, and then...seems like a comfy apartment complex?! A couple rooms, including Cancer’s big screen, surround sound setup, and an outer staircase shot of the doors to their separate rooms. Because even aliens from another planet who take the form of human beings need privacy while living with one another.

Thoughts on Mitch Shepar/Libra/Libra Scales

Shepar makes a great first impression—he may be a teacher, but he realizes that school isn’t the most important thing in life.  He actually does it for the kids, and he would rather see Geo stay away from school than see him be bullied into it and take more psychological damage.  Also he has beakers hanging around his neck.  It’s cool in a weird science way…and possibly foreshadowing the scales in his EM form.  He keeps sticking to his principals, that teaching kids just to study is a waste, right up until he’s told he will be fired.  At first he thinks he should just quit, but then remembers he has a duty to his children.  It’s that conflict between his children and his students that produces the loneliness wave that draws Libra in.  Mr. Shepar is, without a doubt, a fantastic teacher.

Libra seems to know a lot too.  Either he’s just guessing, or FM-ians can develop a form of telepathy when near a Wave Change compatible individual who is currently broadcasting a loneliness wave…or maybe it’s just a plothole.  He may have been tracking Shepar for a bit, and picks the perfect time to approach him: when he’s caught in the middle of a conflict, providing just enough persuasion to, well…tip the scales.

Libra Scales is definitely a weird design.  It’s a scale.  That being said, it’s actually rather interesting, and the swirls of fire and water in his scales is a nice touch.  As I said in my post on this scenario, when possessed, Shepar completely reverses on all of his views, which is interesting, but also a bit ironic.  Rather than achieving a real balance on is problem, he has shifted to the complete opposite side of the scales!  In fact, deciding to protect both his students and his children, which he does when he forces Libra out, is much more balanced in my view.
