"Maid in the Shade" is a 1944 B-25J Mitchell Bomber that flew 15 combat missions over Italy and Yugoslavia from Corsica in late 1944. She now tours the airshow circuit and is operates out of the CAF Airbase Arizona located at Falcon Field in Mesa, Az. The name "Maid in the Shade," originated because she was the first CAF Airbase Arizona aircraft to be restored inside a hangar, out of the sun.
