Week 4 Readings
Work on a working hypothesis (we have done this as a group, has helped somewhat understand/be able to explain our own idea better)
Develop a proposal
Make and oral pitch
(overall this is all that we have had to do for our assignment)
For hypothesis, see link on group tumblr page.
How to pitch:
Background, characters, situations, style, growth, importance
Afterwards, expand the ideas within the pitch, with feedback, in order to make a better, more encompassing idea that will make for a better project.
Week 3 Readings (Chapter 7 & 8)
Chapter 7
Having restrictions on your project will allow for better creativity
The research is driven entirely by the subject
The working hypothesis (we have done this in our group, on our general group blog) – I think it has helped with both allowing deeper understanding for ourselves
Test the type of research that we can use – use other people, brainstorm, analyse
Take inventory of what is needed for you to create the project in it's entirety
Creating and outline will allow you to understand the different parts of your project better
Take into account scheduling, locations, budget, etc
Chapter 8
Make sure the personalities of the group you are a part of don't clash (we has a small issue with this during the third week, but we have since has this issue become resolved)
For my roles:
Sound Recordist – Extremely important, often overlooked, has lots of different aspects that need to be constantly thought about
