I mean, they are textbook good boy/bad boy kind of dynamic (and don’t we love it??) only there can be so much more. Like Mitsui’s self-sabotaging tendencies, and Kogure who won’t take that crap because he is actually not that nice and soft when he does not want to, and the way Kogure admires him and his skills, and for sure regrets not reaching out (even though Mitsui probably was in fact unreachable and unbearable), and Mitsui who needed that forgiveness and Kogure was willing to give him that and he does not mind to give him even more, and they are both so beautiful gooosh!!!
(On the side note: shohoku all somehow forgave him quite fast which is impressive yet also a very boys-like behaviour, but if I was Ayako I would first punch Mitsui in the balls idc)
