summary — in which your fashion designer boyfriend wears your fashion disaster sweater
note — spoilers. the recent chapters made me really want to write for mitsuya. i know he’ll succeed, but i still hope that he achieves his dream of becoming a fashion designer. likes and reblogs are always appreciated
From Takemichi’s perspective, Mitsuya had always been the stylish, fashionable one of the group. As someone striving for a career in the fashion industry and actually having achieved said dream in a distant, alternate timeline, it made sense that Mitsuya was known for being never not put together.
With his incredible style and accompanying skills, he was also the go-to person whenever someone in their friend group was having a fashion crisis. Needed help deciding which shirt to wear for your date? Mitsuya. Needed someone to fix your favourite pair of pants? Mitsuya. He had even made Toman’s original uniforms if that said anything about his talents. So for Takemichi to see his fashion idol dressed in something that looked like it had come from his closet, Takemichi didn’t know what to say.
“That’s an i-interesting sweater, Mitsuya-kun,” Takemichi said with a nervous smile, hoping that his friend didn’t notice the hesitation in his voice. Mitsuya didn’t appear to believe Takemichi’s compliment, but he thanked him nonetheless.
“Thanks, Takemitchy,” Mitsuya replied, expertly ignoring the confused and amused glances directed at him from the other customers as he seated himself across the table with a cup of coffee. “Where are the guys?”
“O-oh, they should be here soon, I think,” Takemichi responded, trying to not make it apparent that he was currently attempting to decipher Mitsuya’s poorly crafted, unattractive, absolute disaster of a sweater.
“You want to know about the sweater, don’t you?” Mitsuya interrupted with an amused smirk, already knowing the answer to his question.
“Uh, yeah! It’s very avante-grandeur!”
“It’s avant-garde,” Mitsuya corrected as he fought back a chuckle. Getting his phone from his pocket, Mitsuya showed Takemichi a picture of you sitting in his workroom with measuring tape, sewing patterns, and various pieces of fabric half-hazardously thrown across the floor. “You know my girlfriend, right? She’s really gotten into DIY lately, and this sweater is her latest work.”
“It’s very, um-” Takemichi began, trying to find the correct word to describe Mitsuya’s sweater.
“Not good? I know,” Mitsuya explained as he quickly shot your picture an affectionate glance before putting his phone away. “She was getting really disparaged that her clothes weren’t meeting expectations and that they didn’t look anything like mine. Well, you should’ve seen my first few projects. Trust me, Takemitchy, she’s doing a lot better than I did. Anyway, I decided to wear this sweater to encourage her and cheer her on. Her smile’s worth the stares.”
Listening to Mitsuya’s story in amazement, Takemichi couldn’t help but stare at his friend in total respect for his unwavering willingness to make you happy. It reminded Takemichi of his own relationship with Hina and how he similarly wanted nothing more than to make her happy and smile. He humorously supposed that both he and Mitsuya were the same in that regard.
“You’re really cool, you know that, Mitsuya-kun?” Takemichi mused.
“You’re one to talk, Takemitchy,” Mitsuya answered with a casual grin. “You would’ve done the same thing for Hina-chan, right?”
“Right!” Takemichi immediately agreed, a bright smile on his face.
Quietly humming to himself, Takemichi took another glance at Mitsuya’s sweater. He could honestly say that it wasn’t the worst piece of clothing he had ever seen. Although it was rather unstylish and poorly made, the more he stared at it, the more he began to notice its strange charm. While it most certainly could’ve looked better, it wasn’t too bad-
“Mitsuya, what the hell are you wearing?” Chifuyu asked incredulously, approaching the table with a teasing expression. “Did you lose a bet or something? That sweater’s hideous!”
“Four words, Chifuyu,” Mitsuya scoffed before taking a sip of his coffee. “Thousand. Winters. Original. Uniforms.”
Trying hard and failing to not break out into absolutely uncontrollable laughter, Takemichi could only watch in amusement as Chifuyu loudly stuttered before falling into complete silence, seating himself next to Takemichi with a defeated pout while Mitsuya continued to quietly drink his coffee with a satisfied smirk.

When Mitsuya had moved out of his family home to follow his dreams of becoming a fashion designer, he honestly thought that he would only ever have to worry about himself. Luna and Mana were older now and able to look after themselves, and his mother was starting to become more considerate of her own health, taking fewer shifts at work because of this. He was finally free to focus on himself, his career, and his future, so imagine Mitsuya’s surprise and annoyance when he had received a text message from your friend, telling him to come and collect his irresponsibly intoxicated girlfriend.
He couldn’t help but sigh in exasperation as he took sight of your dazed form and overly happy grin as your friend handed you over with a slight smile and said, “Sorry, I couldn’t stop her.”
“What happened?” Mitsuya asked as you immediately held onto him and affectionately leaned into his chest, quietly mumbling about how nice and cool his sweater felt against your heated cheeks. Admittedly, he found it very difficult to stay angry at you and your poor life decisions when you were being this cute.
“Exam results came back today,” your friend explained sadly. “Didn’t get the grades that she was expecting, so she decided to drown herself in alcohol.”
Raising an eyebrow at this, Mitsuya conceded to the fact that he could understand your sentiment of wanting a distraction from your poor grades, yet this didn’t give you an excuse to not take care of yourself and inconvenience your friend. So with another tired sigh, Mitsuya thanked the young woman before offering his goodbyes, now turning his attention to you as you pouted in indignation at his suggestion of sleep.
“I don’t want to go to sleep, Takashi!” you loudly complained as he attempted to guide you away from the elevators and toward the direction of your shared apartment.
“I know, but it’s late, and we wouldn’t want to wake anyone up, would we?” he tried to reason, but you simply refused to listen to him or even move from where you were standing. “Come on, babe, you still have classes tomorrow.”
“No, I don’t! I’m quitting school!” you responded dramatically, about to fall over if Mitsuya hadn’t grabbed onto your shoulders. “What’s the point of studying and going to classes if I can’t get the grades that I want? I-I’m a failure, Takashi! Just leave me alone and let me drink my sorrows away!”
“Okay, I’m going to have to stop you right there,” your boyfriend playfully warned as his hands came to lovingly rest on your waist. “Listen, getting a certain grade on a test doesn’t denote your intelligence or worth as a person. You’re a lot more than just a number on a piece of paper. Babe, you’re funny, kind, beautiful, and incredibly smart in your own way, and I know that I didn’t fall in love with a so-called failure, so stop thinking of yourself as one, okay?”
And for a quick moment, Mitsuya was scared that he had said too much, as he was worryingly met with the sight of subtle tears in your eyes, your head lowering for a second before you broke out into an uncontrollably bright smile, one that had him almost forgetting how to breathe because of its absolute brilliance and beauty.
“You’re in love with me, huh?” you remarked teasingly as your arms locked around Mitsuya’s neck.
“Not right now, no,” he said with an amused and challenging smirk. “Right now, you’re just some crazy, drunk girl that I need to get into our apartment before she wakes someone up. Generally speaking, though, yes. Sincerely and hopelessly so.”
Listening to your delighted giggles, Mitsuya couldn’t help but smile in response as you pulled him closer into your embrace, his head now gently resting on top of yours as you both enjoyed this quiet moment together. It wasn’t the most romantic or ideal scene, considering how the two of you were standing in some poorly lit hallway with him plainly dressed in a hoodie and sweats, but Mitsuya thought that this moment together was more than perfect. You were here with him, after all.
“Takashi? Carry me?” you requested a while later, making him raise an eyebrow in disbelief.
“Babe, I love you, but you need to learn that there are consequences to your actions,” Mitsuya stated as he did his best to avoid your round, pleading eyes. One look was all that it would take for him to agree to your demand, and he knew that he couldn’t allow that to happen.
“Please?” you asked so sweetly with that cute, sleepy pout of yours. “I’m tired.”
“And I’m not?” he replied while almost laughing. “I’m not going to carry you, so let’s just-”
Mitsuya, however, was unable to say another word as you quickly silenced him with a gentle, fleeting kiss, one that had him wanting nothing more than to chase after and reciprocate. Yet your boyfriend knew that he was a weak man when it came to you, so he told himself to ignore the pleasure and delightfully sweet and bitter taste of alcohol that still remained on your sinful, tempting lips.
It took all of his self-control to not give in to the intoxicating scent of your perfume or the closeness of your body as you soon began to paint his neck with various shades of red and purple. He soon found himself getting drunk on the thought of you and your touches, and it was only after hearing your desperately dulcet request once more did Mitsuya’s resolve finally break, yet he still managed to stop himself from grabbing your neck and kissing you senseless, wishing to absolutely ruin you until all that you could remember was his name.
“Please, Takashi?”
So with a defeated sigh, Mitsuya proceeded to lift you like a groom would with his beloved bride, faintly smiling once he saw the immediate happiness and excitement on your face as he began to carry you toward the apartment. “Only until we reach the door, all right? Then you’re on your own.”
“You’re the best, Takashi! I love you!”
“I love you, too.”

character — hanma shuuji, mitsuya takashi, ryuguji “draken” ken
summary — he meets your parents
note — f!reader, spoilers. a request from my 100 followers event. likes and reblogs are always appreciated
hanma shuuji
after weeks of trying to convince your boyfriend to meet your parents, you and hanma were now standing in front of your parent’s house after having been invited over for dinner
you were understandably nervous, and you couldn’t help but throw a worried glance at your unusually calm and quiet boyfriend
despite hanma not caring about what your parents thought of him, you still wanted your parents to like your boyfriend
yet before your anxious thoughts could spiral out of control, you felt hanma gently take a hold of your hand
“stop worrying, we’ll be fine,” he said while sounding uncharacteristically serious and resolute, and you had no other choice than to believe in his words
dinner with your parents was surprisingly uneventful, with hanma perfectly acting the role of the ordinary boyfriend
it wasn’t until your parents began asking questions that you started to feel cautious and wary, unsure of how hanma would respond
“so, what are your plans for the future, hanma-kun,” your mother questioned with a stern look on her face, trying to test him
“i don’t really know, ma’am,” hanma answered truthfully, ignoring the unreadable expression that she was now sending him
“well, that’s unfortunate-”
“but i do see your daughter being a part of my future, so i don’t intend to let her go,” your boyfriend continued, shooting your parents a subtle smirk. “no matter what anyone says”
it took a moment before your parents began to chuckle in amusement, and your mother turned to look at you with an impressed smile
“i think you found yourself a fine young man, darling”
“i think so, too,” you replied happily
mitsuya takashi
when you had finally decided to introduce mitsuya to your parents, you knew that you didn’t have to worry about your parents not liking him
after all, mitsuya was a kind, respectable, polite, and caring boyfriend, and you often joked that he was perfect husband material
he always remembered your birthday, dates, and anniversaries, bought you presents that reminded him of you, and made you genuinely happy
you were certain that your parents would like mitsuya, but you didn’t think that they would be so easily won over by him
somehow, over the time frame of one meeting, mitsuya had inexplicably charmed both your parents
they were constantly complimenting him and asking him questions about himself, and you were starting to think that your parents liked your boyfriend more than you, their own daughter
“mitsuya-kun, have some more food. i don’t want you leaving this house hungry,” your mother insisted
“and tell us more about your future plans. you said that you wanted to become a fashion designer, correct?” your father asked with a curious smile. “isn’t that a difficult career path?”
“i don’t think so, sir. i believe in myself and my abilities,” mitsuya explained thoughtfully before shooting an adoring smile in your direction. “besides, how can i fail when i have my beautiful muse right next to me?”
mitsuya’s response was simple yet romantically heartfelt, and it had your parents falling for his charms once more
you later left your parent’s house with a cheerful smile on your face, happy to know that your parents approved of your boyfriend
ryuguji “draken” ken
when your parents had asked to meet your boyfriend, you were somewhat apprehensive about their request
your parents were rather traditional people, and it was clear from your boyfriend’s appearance and fashion sense that he was the complete opposite of traditional
you were worried that your parents wouldn’t like him, that they would force you to break up with draken
you were honestly expecting dinner with your parents to be a complete disaster, and draken had to constantly reassure you that everything would be fine
the second you and draken stepped into your parent’s house, your parents were already glaring at your boyfriend despite his polite greetings and accompanying gift basket
conversations were initially dull and monotone, but your parents quickly realized that they were wrong about draken, and they soon began to laugh along to his humorous jokes and stories
seeing your normally reserved parents laugh like this, you supposed that your boyfriend was right to think that the two of you would be fine
“draken-kun, was it?” your father asked with an apologetic smile. “i must say, my wife and i were rather judgmental of you when you first showed up at our door. we now see that we were wrong, so we want to apologize for our earlier rudeness”
“yes, my apologies, draken-kun,” your mother agreed with a solemn nod. “you’re quite the respectable young man. thank you for being there for our daughter and supporting her when we cannot”
“yeah, i’ll always be there for her,” draken declared sincerely, lacing your fingers together from underneath the table. “she’s my whole world”
and as you tried to fight back the flustered smile that threatened to appear on your face, your parents both knew that they had nothing to worry about in regard to your relationship with draken
