The blue stripe designs on Mitus are LEDs so they glow in the dark. While the stripe designs on Ellos are actually his inner heat source, being an Eclipse model (modeled after the Solar Eclipse) he needs to be warm/hot(lol) to stay functioning & have illusions like he has lava flowing in his systems. Kind of like a lava lamp.

Ellos is an Eclipse model that was built initially for security , but was ultimately deemed as "defective" by his creators & was tossed away like scrap in the dumpster of the factory he and Mitus were built in. Quinn finds him, repairs him, & gives him a place to stay.
Quinn lives in a cozy apartment that is big enough to house her, Ellos, & Mitus. She works a security gig at an old computer company, usually working nightshifts unless she is moved to day shifts, which often leads her to nap almost 24/7 when she's home & absolutely tired.
Mitus was initially to be a Sun model, but was changed by those who created him as a Moon model to be more in theme with his programming as a professional dancer. He can entertain anyone, but began to get tired of the daily routine & destroyed his protocols before running off from the building he was placed in to work, ultimately being marked as "stolen" & was replaced by a Sun model, who is unknown.
How Quinn found Mitus, she was coming back from a late night shift around 5AM when she saw Mitus, who was low on battery & slowly rusting, offering to take him back to her place and repair him. Reluctant at first, Mitus agrees and follows Quinn home, where Mitus & Ellos meet.
Ellos was someone who was rather protective almost territorial when he met Mitus for the first time before Quinn got the three of them to hang out together & getting to know one another and bringing less tension within the apartment before ultimately Mitus and Ellos became the two robots to be "living on their own" without working under any programing or set protocols by their creators.
Pssssssst... The two also like Quinn (self indulging myself shhh.) & Quinn is a bit oblivious to this fact due to her own past.
