Thank you!!! Hopefully I can turn it into a middle-grade novel one day, that's my dream. Either that or a series! I have a LOT of ideas for ways it could go and a lot of concepts for subplots and smaller themes, but a huge theme (I promise it would make sense in the context of the full plot) is how insidious ableism can be and how given proper supports kids who were labelled lost causes can not only survive but thrive.
