It was another shift at the convenience store, and a big group of people of construction workers came in for boxes of instant noodles and other little meals. They were lining up for the hot water and the microwave, and Boyoung had the idea of getting the extra boiler from the back to speed the queue up.

“I’ll be right with you!” She addressed the tall customer, (because yes, she’d notice someone who’d easily remind her of how tiny she was), and went to plug in the extra boiler. There was one socket left, the other 5 already claimed by other appliances, but the moment she plugged the boiler in and turned it on, she understood why it was simply collecting dust in the back… because suddenly… the whole shop went black… and the roars and exclaims that followed certainly threw her into a slight bit of panic.

Whoops…

If there was one thing that Kim Mingyu had, it was patience. Honestly, he liked to believe that he acquired even more of it over the last several weeks, considering he's been confined in a cast. It was nice finally being free of it, since now he could more easily go out and about. He picked up a bottle of water, some super glue, and then a few snacks he could surprise Wonwoo with. As he stood at the counter, he gave a nod when the cashier claimed that she'd be right with him. He didn't mind. He was already first in line, anyway, so the slew of men behind him were the ones that would truly have to wait.

A few moments later, after she was finished doing what she thought would help, the entire establishment went dark. The act caused an amused smile to form on the boy's face and he set all of the items he was holding down on the counter. Part of him considered leaving, since he could get all of this elsewhere, but he decided he'd rather stay and ask if she needed help fixing things. After all, why should he leave her alone to face the wrath of hungry construction workers?

"If you don't know how to get everything back up and running again, I can help you out."

Boyoung’s been hearing some loud footsteps on her way back home; the footsteps of someone with a goal in mind. Whether or not she lived in her own miserable circumstances, loud, eery, and fast approaching footsteps, while walking alone in the middle of the night, was enough to make any normal person nervous.

She began to walk faster, maybe even jog a little. Home wasn’t the safest place anymore, but it was good enough to at least paint the illusion of safety, and she wanted to be fooled by that as soon as possible.

She took a turn into the back alley of her home, and was suddenly met with a body in the dark, and out of fear induced instincts, Boyoung swung her fist at the stranger… followed by her solid purse as she let out a very audible scream.

Although she wasn't scared, Hyunjung had to admit that she was a bit on edge. After all, her mind couldn't simply be playing tricks on her. Patrolling this late at night always made her feel a sense of nervousness, but it was never too much for her to handle. She simply had to keep reminding herself that this is what she wanted to do; it was her choice.

Of course, that did little to completely calm her down, especially the moment she stumbled right into someone who didn't even seem to hesitate before hitting her in the face— and then smacking her with her solid purse. The shock and impact of it all caused the officer to stumble backward, doing little to catch herself as she landed on her bum. Her hand flew up to grab her nose and... oh god, was that blood? The pain came in waves, but she couldn't be too angry... this woman was clearly scared of her.

She knew it would only be a matter of moments before the girl would notice her uniform and then likely realize her mistake, so she just leaned her head forward and let out a groan. She still managed to gather her joking sense of humor, however, and her eyes trailed up to meet the girl before she attempted to smile, though she was soon ceasing that and hissing a quiet, "Ow, ow, ow." After pausing, she started to stand to her feet. "Uh... boo?" She dropped her head, the warmth on her hand and metallic smell overwhelming her. "... Sorry."

“i don’t laugh often, so seeing someone with a dry sense of humor wouldn’t be so bad... i guess.”

23. Does everyone deserve a second chance?

No, I don’t think so. If everybody deserves a second chance then I don’t think we need laws and jails.

33. Ever used a bow and arrow?

I did try holding it and shooting once when my dad brought me to the training center, but using distance weapon is not my thing, since I’m really bad at putting a deep and long concentration on one target.

36. Occupations you wanted to be when you were a kid?

I used to think that my dad’s occupation was the coolest and the manliest, but the risks weakened my mentality. Since I liked doing sports, being an athlete sounds awesome. I was good at taekwondo, too, so I thought to sign up for a school specialty for athlete training but my mother forbade me to go.
