Hi mate, this is regarding mhgen, i was wondering if you have knew any notable mix sets with the adrenaline armour skill. I kind of need a good armour set with adrenaline +2 as I like hunting monsters on the edge. Think you can help out a fellow hunter?

Oh man, one of my biggest gripes about Generations is how difficult it is to make some good mix sets compared to 4U.

Let’s see…

With a +6 Potential OOO talisman, you can create:

Adrenaline +2, Critical Eye +3, and Crit Boost 

Hayabusa Feather Hermitaur Mail RSilver Solbraces RAelucanth Elytra SBlack Leather Chaps

(i really love critical in this game)

OR

With a +7 Attack OOO talisman, you can create:

Adrenaline +2, Attack Up L, and Weakness ExploitBulldrome Mask SEX Rathalos Mail SRathalos Braces RRathalos Faulds SBlack Leather Chaps

I don’t think it’s currently possible to have an Adrenaline +2 Sharpness +2 set. We’ll have to wait for the Hyper Deviljho DLC quest.

But Adrenaline +2, Razor Sharp, and Speed Sharpening can be created with a +6 Potential OO talisman:

OR

It’s a shame that the only full armor set with default Adrenaline +2 is Drilltusk Tetsucabra, and you gotta upgrade it all the way to lv10 to unlock the Drilltusk skill with it. Getting the skill any other way requires some pretty damn rare talismans, unless you don’t mind settling with some subpar skills.

I'm loving the BuJaBuJaBu mixed set. It's really useful to power through those village quests. Bulldrome head Jaggi chest Bulldrome arms Jaggi waist Bulldrome legs 1 slot weapon plus +5 attack (1) decos.

Made my bow set! For anyone's interest: Brachydium Helm Ex Glyph Chest Ex Glyph Gauntlets Wroth Scales Ex Glyph Hakama Fast charge +4 tali with 3 slots Skills: Part breaker Clandestine Focus (gemmed) Divine Protection (gemmed) Can't wait to test it out, but for now I'm tired and going to bed.

Wanted to try hunting horn for a bit. I still suck at using it, I'm definitely not pumping out the highest dps on hunts (only using it on large elder dragons anyway, also I keep attacking backwards and forget to turn around to actually deal damage while loading tunes), but I'm mainly using it to be a support role anyway. So I made myself a new mixed set for it. Making these sets is way too fun. The set I made looks kinda hideous unless you mess around with the colour pigments, then it looks somewhat alright. The pieces are: 2 slot (at least) HH Selene Helm X Akantor Aegis X Grand Mizuha Sleeves Excello Coil X GX Hunter Cuirass Talisman: Maestro +7 (that's the one I have at any rate, +6 or higher is fine) Skills: Horn Maestro Sharpness +1 Evade Extender HG Earplugs It works for what I need it to.

Do you have any tips/tricks/thoughts on mix and matching armor sets? I see people do it but never done it myself, but is there something I should keep in mind with it, is it even a good idea, etc etc.

The tool for figuring out what you’ll need for mixed sets is Athena’s Armor Set Search. Of course, depending on what you’re asking for you may not get any results. If there is a skill with tiers (Atk Up S, M, L, for example) try going for a lower tier to see if that helps get any results. Some combinations may also not be possible. So keep mixing and matching skill sets until you find one.

Made a new mixed set. It's got some pretty good skills (I keep forgetting that there's no speed sharpen on it however and sharpen at the wrong time)... Parts are: Selene X (head) Kushala Cista X (torso) Grand Mizuha Sleeves (arms) Kushala Cocoon X (waist) GX Tempest Wingpleats (legs) Any 3 slot weapons Bonus: Evade distance +6 talisman with 2 slots Some stuff gemmed in. It looks pretty alright when set to the right colour pigments. And the skills it has are: -Evasion +2 (could be 3, but the bonus is the reason for +2) -Sharpness +1 -HG Earplugs -Evade Distance Plus Been hunting some Shah Dala using it because I needed S.Dala parts to upgrade a 3 slot CB. The one I'm using is fairly weak to what I could be using.
