“Was that everything, boys?” She stands in the middle of her now empty apartment, the small space looking more prominent than the first time she bought it. When she arrived at Myeogcho, after her graduation at the academy, she didn’t have a lot of money. For a small island, it was pretty expensive, and it was a miracle she had found a place with such a decent price. Of course, the apartment literally looked like a shoe box with one small tiny bedroom and an even smaller bathroom. It had been her baby for a good while, but she was also making more money and did want to live somewhere better.
Hani was a blessing, they became friends over names, chatted like long lost friends when they first met and they had clicked right away after hours of sharing drinks. It wasn’t odd that they wouldn’t mind sharing a space, they were simple like that. So Dani was more than happy when Hani offered a room for her to rent.
Jinah was added to the mix, later on, information on moving apartments was being shared, and before you know it, Dani had dragged the other woman into joining in and fill up the third room. It was going to be crazy, with a bunny on the loose and a fat cat that loved attention all around, but she was going to enjoy every moment of it.
They reached the ‘new’ apartment in a good thirty-minute ride, greeting the guard at the door that knew her from the many times she had been at Hani’s studio. “Miss Lee! Finally, moving in!” She greets the guard with a huge smile, pointing at the truck and the men already opening the doors and taking out some boxes to move up to the seventh floor. “Yup! Did Jinah arrive already?” She asks, already seeing Hani appear from the lift into the lobby.
