What position/role would you be in, if you were working in a real publication office?

My role would be editor! 

Which Summer/Winter sports do you follow/watch, any favorite member player?

I most closely follow figure skating, but for the Summer sports, I love watching badminton and gymnastics.

What led you to be interested in graphic illustration/design?

I enjoyed science classes in college, but felt creatively unfulfilled and lacking in practical skills, so I ended up becoming a design minor.

What is your favorite quote/phrase/episode from Daiya no Ace?

Act II, Episode 27 (The Note): Kataoka writes to Sawamura, "It was you, who has never given up on becoming the ace, and kept walking up, step by step, that put the result in our favor. Above confidence lies pride, and below humility lies subservience. I want you to keep your feet on solid ground and keep walking forward."

i saw you recced crossfire a few weeks back - it's definitely my favorite daiya fic and possibly my favorite fic of all time :') any other daiya fic recs ? i love your art and trust your fic judgment!! (only if you have time / desire to make recs ofc)

uh, i would be DELIGHTED to bump more daiya recs. these are gonna be more misawa + kuraryou bc they’re popular ships for good reason :’)

MISAWA

let the thunder in / for now, miyuki has it to himself, this place he has not yet left, this place that he is leaving. (dreamy tone + perfect introspective miyuki. my favorite, aside from crossfire!)

opia / the ambiguous intensity of Looking someone in the eye, which can feel simultaneously invasive and vulnerable. (don’t you love a good Realization Moment fic? i do, especially when they’re this good)

Baseball’s Golden Boys– And Their Shocking Affair! / “Did you know we’ve been lovers since high school?” Kazuya notes. “Honestly, Sawamura, you owe me a decade’s worth of anniversary gifts. You’re a terrible boyfriend.” (top notch interactions, so much sweetness between the lines. all the other fic by this author is also a treat!!)

two bowls of everything / They wound up on Miyuki’s bed, flushed from kissing, tangled together until Sawamura pulled back slightly and looked at him with questioning eyes. Like when he stood on the mound, waiting for Miyuki to tell him which pitch to throw. (lotsa fic out there about miyuki guarding emotional vulnerabilities, but this one nails it in less than 2k)

KURARYOU

what you have tamed / In which Ryousuke underestimates Kuramochi’s powers of perception, and Youichi fails to account for Ryou-san being Ryou-san. (future fic, and if there’s a kuraryou manifesto this should be it. just!! jaw droppingly good)

significant enough (significant other) / Kuramochi calls Ryousuke names when he’s drunk. Ryousuke doesn’t actually mind. (b99 adjacent AU, fun and funny)

taught myself to speak bullets / On an otherwise unremarkable winter day, Kominato Ryousuke: swaps romantic advice with Miyuki Kazuya, willingly engages in a difficult personal conversation, discovers the true power of emotional honesty. (canon compliant, following the aftermath of ryousuke’s injury. phenom)

me and my cousin have been going for three stars in every level so far but overc00ked 2 has online multiplayer mode which is really cool!! if u ever want to play together let me know omg time to bonk your friends on the head with a potato

please do!! i really like this kind of magic and i really loved this fic

oh gosh thank you!! this fic has like, my favourite things bc krkn + subtleness + urban fantasy + softness? i’m really interested in worldbuilding but i’m not very strong on plot, so this kind of thing is perfect for me, i’m so glad writing for fandom has allowed me to explore that. 

i’m lowkey kind of thinking of attempting something like this for another pairing in the near future, so thank you for this little message!!

Shoma wins gold !! He's so consistently good and I can't bet on Yuzu considering his recent injury.

I see what you mean but he lost a couple of big competitions in the free this season. He's definitely is a contender for the gold but I wouldn't bet on him, I guess.
