Okay this is a very, very surrealist ficlet I've been thinking of...

Modern AU where Mizai is a milkman delivering early in the morning to a neighborhood he's been to many times, only to see Pariston dressed fully in a suit trying to drag a duffel bag out back to throw it into the trash.

Mizai is perplexed. The bag is big enough to put bodies into. Did Pariston murder someone? Pariston spots him, gives a cheery wave. He's getting tense now. Does he bring up the bag? Pariston seems like he wants to ask for a hand in getting the bag into the trash, but is skirting around the question.

Should he call the police? Or not? It's just a bag. A bag could have anything in it. Until it squrims. Yes. There's something in the bag. It's alive.

Pariston hoists the bag over into the trash and the zipper comes loose, dozens of rats just start pouring out all over the scene. So many rats. Everywhere.

Pariston says "whoopsy!" and leaves the bag, grabs a milk from Mizai, and goes back inside.

Mizai continues on his morning milk delivery.

Mizai/Pariston and/or Kanzai/Piyon! always curious about your takes on zodiac rarepairs ✨

Mizai/Pariston feels more onesided on Mizai's part of it, but in the kind of begrudgingly attracted way of it where Pariston keeps teasing him and Mizai just develops feelings over time and it's like. Shit. What to do now.... I feel like he's too nice to just tell Pariston to quit it out so their dynamic just gets a bit complicated after he realizes that he does have feelings for him. As for Pariston, he relishes in the attention so of course it's a positive for him.

Kanzai/Piyon is funny to me because I feel like it would just be so fucking awkward. You have Kanzai with the emotional maturity of a corn chip and Piyon who's so apathetic. He'd be trying to wrack his brain for how to phrase "hey you're cute" while she's just scrolling thru twitter on her phone like "hm yeah I guess, you too." I think if she kissed him on the cheek he'd just fucking short circuit. She does find him somewhat endearing, he's her little meow meow. I do like to hc that he has a very obvious crush on her and literally everyone except Piyon is aware of it because of how obvious it is.
