1. What’s the first movie you remember going to see in a theater? I’m going to give away my age here, but the first one I actually remember quite vividly is Star Wars. I have a vague memory of being in the back seat of my parent’s car before that for a drive-in movie, but I have no idea what it was.
2. What book do you want to read but keep putting off? I probably have at least 150 books in my “to be read” pile right now, but the one that keeps jumping out at me to read is Dr. Zhivago. I’ll try to tackle it next.
3. What was the first car you ever drove by yourself? A red 1981 Ford Escort Station Wagon – I clearly remember getting to drive to a friend’s house by myself the day I got my driver’s license.
4. What book, tv, or movie character do you most identify with? I don’t think I have an answer for this one. Truthfully, I think I block it out of my mind when I identify with a character because that character tends to be shy, clumsy and awkward – and not in a good way. And that’s how I feel most of the time! Ugh… I don’t like this one. LOL
5. What is your favorite quality in yourself? I’m a loyal friend.
6. What are you most proud of in your life? Probably my nieces and nephews, they’re not directly “mine”, but it gives me great pleasure to see what kinds of people they’re turning into and knowing that I had a hand in helping raise them.
7. If you could have an exotic pet, what would it be and why? I want to say otter because they are beyond cute, but that is one animal that should be wild. So I’m going to go with hedgehog. No real reason other than I just like them.
8. Current song obsession? Can I go with artist obsession instead? Because right now I am listening to a mix of Billie Holiday, Miles Davis, John Coltrane and Nina Simone on repeat. I tend to focus more on a person than one song.
9. Favorite international food? That is such a hard question!! I am not a picky eater by any means. Off the top of my head, I’ll go with sushi – but give me an Indian buffet or a giant bowl of Pho and I’m yours!
10. Favorite season and why? Spring. I just love the fact that everything is so new and fresh and green. It’s still fairly cool in the mornings and I get Spring fever so bad it’s ridiculous!
11. What piece of clothing would you wear every day if you could? Bike shorts. I am rarely in long pants except for work and extreme cold. Otherwise I could live in a pair of shorts and be perfectly happy.
