I didn't love the final explanation, but the episode was exciting to watch, and I thought Nathan Fillion was great. I liked the role reversal with him going down the rabbit hole, and Beckett as the one trying to keep him level.
completely agree with you, the parallel for the rabbit hole was beautifully done!
