Data Mining and what I have learned
Data Mining, How it met my thought Process......
When I first considered data mining, I must admit that I was not comfortable with the subject matter because I did not understand it nor had this subject been on my radar of life, even though after being in my master's class of the subject matter, I found out that I was living in this world data mining everyday that I woke up and did transactions and even all the data that I would be researching on the internet . It is hard not to be in volved with data mining in one's life. I guess when I was in high school and read the book of George Orwell's "1984" it was the beginning of Data Mining as we would be introduced too.
I do have a firm understanding of Data Mining now, because of the classes that I have been taking at Full Sail University and to be under the under-study Professor Mike Taylor, he challenged me, and would not allow me any excuses to understand what he was teaching me, this do I appreciate.
What I learned that data Mining can be used for Illegal practices in the market place and in the Health Community cand be used to save lives, it all depends on the motives that would be used as a driving factor. And this is why laws are in place to make sure that those who harness the power of Data Mining are held responsible of the power that it can yield.
What I have learned is a subject matter, that will be the catalysis for the world to thrive on when it comes to Business Intelligence and Business Marketing and if used for the good of mankind, I foresee that the world of non-profit corporation such as health systems will benefit the most. I will use the course materials as a mirror to always glean from even after I graduate, and keep the material for my arsenal of information to use in the future.
