THE FALLEN GODDESS VS THE ASCENDED MORTAL
@laismoura-art Hey, Lais! It had been very long since the last time I decided to make one of your girls in Hero Forge, so I decided to fix that some days ago. And it's finally here, your Goddess of Sun herself! 🥳
As always, I have to share your original design and lore, because it's great! 🔥🔥🔥
I have to say I am kinda sad that my computer graphics apparently don't reflect the shine of flames as much as I would like for this design, but it's here nonetheless and I hope it will be worth seeing 🫡
And, of course, I also gotta bring an interaction. And dare I say this time I have come with the most contrasting one between our characters yet! I even got a cool title for it this time. 👀
The one your Delia has the displeasure to meet this time is my own personal take on a character from Mortal Kombat: Conquest, Queen Kreeya, whose bio I link alongside these other two so she can be fully understood.
I have to say that the more I thought about this encounter in my mind, the more I liked it. It's not just these two respective statuses in our AUs, but the fact that they're basically selfishness and selflessness taken to divine extremes:
-Kreeya: A goddess so egotistical that it cost her her very title. One who sees no value in anyone but herself. One who uses powers who were meant to create and protect for her own benefit and nothing else.
-Delia: A mortal so noble that she was ascended to godhood. One who sees so much value in others that she gave her life to protect her people. One who, after ascending, used her powers to keep protecting others from darkness.
Also, what Kreeya uses is meant to be orange energy rather than fire, but I thought there was a cool visual match in their powers there.
And there was the kinda fun coincidence that I established that Kreeya doesn't like Argus. Not for any of the actual good reasons to hate him, she just thinks he's pathetic for being close to the Elder Gods and likes to spite him, but she does nonetheless lol. I even got to write some interactions between them here:
Awful mom vs Awful dad and husband
So yeah, that was another thing I could add to the interactions, even if just as a joke lmao.
And now, before showing the interactions, I feel I must tag @rasta-bot too. I know she's interested in both my take on the Kreeyans and your take on Delia, so I feel this will interest her too 💯
Feel free to tell me what you think of the interactions, good things and flaws. I hope they'll be enjoyable in any case, though! ☺️
Kreeya: Wait, I recognize you. Are you not one of Argus’ mortals? laughs. Is that buffoon here too? It has been so long since I had the pleasure of humiliating him.
Delia: This has nothing to do with him.
Kreeya: Too ashamed to even speak about him? I cannot say I blame you. smirks.
Delia: The legends I have been told of Fabir gave me anything but a first good impression, Lady Kreeya…
Kreeya: Legends are all that remain already? rolls her eyes. Mortals have such a defective memory. I will have to make sure they never again forget Queen Kree…
Delia: gets angry. An entire realm, a civilization, all its inhabitants suffered because of you, the one who was meant to protect them! And all you care is if you are remembered!?
Kreeya: All gods are equal where you come from? That’s difficult to believe.
Delia: I suppose you can’t imagine a world where you could never be above all others.
Kreeya: scoffs. I am already above all our spineless, weak peers in everything but title.
Delia: A protector goddess so consumed by evil is almost impossible to believe.
Kreeya: ‘Evil’. ‘Good’. Do you think I let such useless concepts limit my will and actions?
Delia: You should. Unless you wish to meet the Hordes of Darkness in the due time.
Kreeya: Remind me, which of Argus’ half-breeds were also yours? The golden one, the red one or the purple one?
Delia: Half…? snarls. They are people, they have names! Taven, Daegon, Zeffeero!
Kreeya: Do not waste our time nor your words. I am not going to remember them.
Delia: How… How could you treat your own children like that?
Kreeya: I am their mother, their queen, their goddess. If they fail to fulfill the purpose I gave them, they are failures, worth nothing.
Delia: … I don’t care what titles you have, you do not deserve to call yourself a parent!
Kreeya: I have to admit… I am mildly curious to know the thoughts of a mortal who was given godhood. How did it feel to see those you gave your life for turn to dust in a heartbeat?
Delia: I did see all their lives. I saw the families who lived at peace when they were illuminated by my flame, the innocents saved from the Hordes of Darkness, their legacy and civilizations built thanks to them. Do not try to make me feel that saving them was worthless, that my people were worthless. They were all more valuable than anything you have ever achieved.
Kreeya: gets annoyed. You are still a mere mortal at heart.
Delia: You could create life, you could have allowed an entire realm to prosper. And instead, you decided to give up to your ambition. It cost you the very divinity you are so proud of. How can you have no regrets?
Kreeya: What I did gave me freedom, from the rules of those Elder Fools and from having to look after pathetic insects. And once the realms are mine, I will recover what I lost and, finally, have the place I deserve, while the likes of you will be nothing but servants.
Delia: sighs. A fantasy just as vile as impossible. Nothing will save you from the consequences of the path you have taken, I can already see it. And I assure you, at the end, you will have no one to blame but yourself.
