Ideas for MK2 (M2K/MK13?) plot!

I've been thinking about a possible plot & i've got some ideas! Brace yourselves 'cuz it's gonna be rather long. Like, soooooooooooo long. (English is not my first language, so i'm sorry for any mistakes in advance).

So, from Kenshi's tower ending we know about Shang trying to steal Sento. We also learn about Jax & the OIA. From various dialogues between the characters we get the info about the Red Dragon having connections with the Yakuza. Also, one of Kenshi's intros against Shang shows that Shang's intrigued by them:

What if Shang actually found members of the Red Dragon/Yakuza & made them an offer? They hunt Kenshi down, he gets the sword.

That would lead to a scene when Kenshi has a meeting with Suchin - from the dialogues we know she's present in this timeline but not much more is specified. What if she is a friend of his family? Maybe he could meet with her to get the info about his relatives who are still in the Yakuza's grip?

Their reunion goes great, so when Kenshi offers to walk her home, neither of them expect an ambush. The Red Dragon assassins fight Kenshi & although he is doing everything in his power, they outnumber him. He loses; they have him on his knees & he is forced to acknowledge how they kill Suchin right in front of him. Only then they knock Kenshi out & take him to Shang.

Meanwhile, Jax is concerned, as Kenshi was supposed to report back to him after the meeting 'cuz Jax was worried that the Yakuza may attack again (Kenshi was too stubborn to reject the opportunity to get news about his family). There is nothing but silence. Since Jax knows about the thing with Johnny's movies, he decides to contact the actor & say that something bad may have happened to Kenshi.

Ofc Johnny drops everything & takes this to Liu Kang but the Fire God is unable to aid him much 'cuz he needs to help Outworld, as Shao & Reiko try to tame Onaga. Similarly, Raiden & Kung Lao need to stay put. Liu Kang informs Scorpion of the situation. Unfortunatelly, Kuai Liang & Tomas are busy dealing with the Lin Kuei, but Scorpion gives Johnny info on how to find Takeda.

Johnny decides to track down Kenshi's cousin while Jax and the OIA agents (Sonya included) try to locate Kenshi. Johnny manages to find Takeda who fights the Red Dragon goons and team-ups with him to take them down. Takeda appreciates the help but is unwilling to give up on his mission. Only after Johnny says that "it's about Kenshi", Takeda immidiately changes his mind.

In the meantime Kenshi regains consciousness, realizing that he sits on the floor in a complete darkness with his hands & ankles tied. He can't feel Sento, so he's once again blind. However, he can hear familiar voices: Mavado's, who seems to guard him & Shang's, who talks to some unknown people - judging by their words, the Yakuza. Gangsters want Kenshi dead in an instant - then only one rogue Takahashi would remain. When Takeda's name is dropped, Kenshi can't tame his anger & fear. He threatens to kill each of them if they dare hurt his cousin. They order Mavado to gag Kenshi, which he does. Shang has an idea: why kill Kenshi now, if they can wait & bait Takeda to come rescue him? Two birds, one stone. After seeing his cousin at the mercy of the gangsters, the younger Takahashi might even surrender without a fight. They agree to wait while Shang goes to "take a closer look" at Sento.

The OIA locates Kenshi. Jax, Sonya, Johnny, Takeda & a group of agents go to an abandonned warehouse to recapture him. When the rest is busy fighting the Red Dragon & Yakuza, Johnny finds the place that Kenshi is held. He beats Mavado & goes to free Kenshi, first taking off his gag (another reason for Johnny to gently touch Kenshi's face, yay!). The latter tells him that Shang has Sento. Jax enters the room, hurrying them to leave but they can't until they get the sword back. They find Shang with Sento - it is surrounded with green energy. They fight him & Shang has no other choice than to escape, leaving the blade behind.

Some time after this, during a mission in Outworld, something strange starts happening to Kenshi. He hears unknown voices among those of his ancestors; his kombat becomes more agressive & violent. When asked what's going on, Kenshi says that everything is fine. But it is not & Johnny is deeply worried. Earthrealm champions draw the line after, in a moment of rage, Kenshi attacks Raiden. They take him to Liu Kang (in a similar manner that Bi-Han was brought after transforming into Noob). Liu examines Sento & says that something has corrupted it by awakening evil souls from Outworld & they slowly take control of Kenshi's (weakened by witnessing Suchin's murder) mind, influencing his behaviour. Turns out that it was all a part of Shang's plan - he couldn't defeat his enemies, so he wanted to break them from the inside. Liu says that as long as Kenshi doesn't use Sento, he will remain unchanged. Johnny is upset 'cuz he knows that Kenshi'll be devastated when he hears this. The Fire God replies that until they find a way to reverse Shang's doing, the only thing to do is to support Kenshi in this tough time.

After Kenshi wakes up, Johnny tells him the truth. As he thought, the swordsman is speechless; he only weakly stammers that he needs some air & leaves the room (which is not that easy for him considering he's blind again). Johnny speaks a little with Takeda who is also present at the Wu-Shi at the time & then goes looking for Kenshi. Johnny finds him sitting alone on a bench far from everyone. He comforts him as any friend would but keeps his true thoughts to himself. Kenshi answers a question Johnny never asked. Both are confused; Johnny tells Kenshi to guess what he's thinking. After his suspicion comes true, they discover that Shang's magic has awakened something more - Kenshi is now a telepath. Too afraid to say it out loud, Johnny thinks about his love confession to Kenshi. The other, although surprised, takes his hand and they share their first kiss (the kiss would happen in my version tho, i doubt NRS would/will ever allow them to do this 😭). Whatever happens next, they will face it - together.
