Hi everyone!

After for so long I FINALLY got my lazy butt up to draw some art base on the newest MK2 movie that came out early in May. I’m in the majority that agrees this was the best MK movie to date and a vast improvement to the 2021 movie. While the original ‘95 flick will forever remain on Top of everyone’s list I believe the fans got everything they wanted and deserved of their favorite game series. I mostly drew from scenes in the movie most of them had been altered of course in accordance to my vision 😝😝😝. But I hope you’ll find them enjoyable. I might make few more later so keep a lookout!

Outworld Gala Poker Night. Loved the skins they put out for these guys wish they could more like this with other characters but nowadays it’s literal crickets and cobwebs on that end.

Sad to learn of Cary-Hiroyuki Tagawa’s passing this past weekend. His illustrious career in Hollywood has spanned decades across various genres, and I’ve watched quite a few movies with him in it, often in villainous roles which he played quite well and so it was a no brainer he would be chosen to portray Shang Tsung in the 1995 live adaptation of Mortal Kombat, which actually set the tone for the character for the entirety of the franchise’ history. Now no one can imagine Shang without thinking of the actor that brought him to life, especially whenever he utters that infamous line “YOUR SOUL IS MINE!” He will always be remembered by the Kommunity. Rest in soul, sir.

Hi guys. Long time no see (for the umpteenth time 😂😂😂). Haven’t been able to get the energy or the motivation to draw anything, especially with all that’s happening in this timeline, just plain sucks! 😔😔😔

But anyway was able to come up with this latest MK1 piece, this time I finally got around to the full Kameo roster, running in a marathon. And you can bet they will stop at nothing to reach the finish line. And I mean, NOTHING!

I just conducted my live birthday raffle tonight (it was originally scheduled for yesterday but something came up so I had to delay it) and here are the 4 Winners and 8 Runner Uppers that get to own my limited edition MK Klassic Arcade Trading Cards Set!

Congrats to those whose names have made the board here. I will contact them and they will have 24 hours to respond or they will forfeit their place to the Runner Uppers. It was fun night and I hope to do this again!

Hey y’all!

So this past weekend I went to my very first EVO in Las Vegas ready to show off my Empress Li Mei cosplay. I also entered my very first cosplay contest was both excited and nervous at the same time but didn’t have too much expectations as I’m sure there were way more superior cosplayers but nevertheless I had a good time. I got to chat with few of them even take some pics, and I even got few compliments from attendees which was great.

Now I didn’t make the Top 8 of the final show that was later held in the evening, and this is just my opinion but it’s pretty obvious the judges tended to be more partial toward anime themes or games that are more popular than Mortal Kombat (mind you MK has always been like the ugly duckling of the whole Fighting Games scene). But there was no doubt some really great cosplays and even I knew from the judging process which ones were going to make the finals (I was most impressed by the Iron Man one based on the upcoming Marvels Tokon game and mind you it hadn’t been that long since they’ve announced it at the Summer of Games in June so he really couldn’t have all that much to work off of; even more crazy is he only spent a week on the whole ensemble! Talk about dedication!) and you can see the ultimate winner

Overall it was a great experience and I had a great time (except for the excruciating Vegas heat) and perhaps I’ll be looking forward to trying again with different cosplays and learn some more techniques.
