Greetings Family,
Today's H3O Art of Life offering,“Lest We Forget: Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.,” was written by Rodney K Strong Esq. This message is being presented the day before Dr. King's nationally-celebrated birthday, January 15th, in order to do what we can to assure that our beloved Ancestor is neither dis-remembered nor mis-represented as is so often the case.
Ancestor Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King,Jr., Maat Kherew, was so much more than a “civil rights leader” an “activist,” and all of the other “shallow things” with which he has become associated. In fact, Dr. King, himself, told us how he wanted to be remembered in the sermon he preached on February 4, 1968 at Ebenezer Baptist Church in Atlanta, Georgia, “The Drum Major Instinct:“
“...Say that I was a drum major for justice:a drum major for peace. I was a drum major for righteousness. And all of the shallow things won't matter…” (Link included with message).
You are invited to join us as we pay tribute to Our revered “Drum Major,” Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Maat Kherew.
