Since I was amazed by your beautiful marigami fic, is it okay if I request a lukadrien fic where juleka helps Adrien confess to Luka, but turns out Luka was watching them the whole time?
A/N: Oh my goodness, I never wrote for this ship before!! Uhm, I hope this was okay (be warned of....well OOCness). >.< @princess-anatha
The model in front of her was oddly shy, shifting his weight from foot to foot and holding a red rose in his slightly trembling hands.
"Uhm...Juleka is...is it okay if...I..uh..." he scratched the back of his neck nervously, a thing Juleka never noticed on the boy before.
She swore she heard a floorboard creak behind her and a small secretive smile curled her lips. "Yeah?"
She waited as patiently as she could, Adrien's nervousness rubbing off on her. Who knew these matchmaking things could be so nerve-wracking. She'd always seen Marinette bend over backwards, sometimes physically, over Kagami, but Adrien actually behaving like that?
That was new territory.
She already had an inkling of an idea what he wanted to say, if the light blush on his cheeks and the red rose in his hands were any hints.
Adrien took a deep breath, a determined look suddenly filling the previously flustered green gaze."I-I'm here to...to tell Luka something!"
Juleka crossed her arms, a small knowing smile partly hidden behind her hair. "And what would that be?"
"...W-Well, let me tell you first, so you can tell me how he could react so uhm, so I can tell him then." Juleka smiled in sympathy, she understood where the boy was coming from. She may be mildly blunt with others, but Rose always triggered a certain shyness to her words whenever she tried expressing her affections for the girl.
"Okay." Juleka never thought she'd be in this position, listening to a boy infatuated with her brother practice confessing to her so he didn't screw it up when he did confess to her brother for real.
Luka owed her for this.
His motorcycle for the upcoming concert Rose and her wanted to go to definitely.
She watched the blush grow darker on Adrien's cheeks and she offered a kind smile, knowing just how hard it was. "Uhm...alright." he took a deep breath. "L-Luka..." he began and Juleka held her breath anxiously. "I...know we didn't really know each-other all that well, but you invited me into Kitty Section and we played together so many times and hung out. It felt like I knew you for years. It's only been three years of our friendship but...but I would like it to be more than that!" a brief rush of determination seemed to hit him then.
His voice rose with assertion, still holding that shy tremble. "What I meant was, I want to go out on a date with you! We can go wherever you want! We can take a tour across the Seine and eat at a nice restaurant, or go stargazing with a picnic, w-we could also uh..." at that, the model trailed off, before finding his drive again. "Go ice-skating, I know you're pretty good at it...or we can just hang out like we always do." Adrien smiled and Juleka felt herself cheer for the model, for her friend, hoping everything would go smoothly.
When it came to matters concerning the heart, her brother was like a snake hiding its legs, some people assumed snakes had legs, others assumed they didnt, while again others knew they did but they were carefully concealed, almost invisible.
Juleka smiled and clapped her hands gently. "That was awesome Adrien." she smiled encouragingly at him, sensing it was her time to leave. "I'm sure everything will go over fine!" Juleka made a beeline for the door and Adrien reached a hand out, panic filling his eyes.
"W-Wait, Juleka I-I'm still not-"
"Sorry Adrien! I gotta go Rose is waiting for me! Good luck!" The girl shot him one last thumbs up before leaving the house.
Adrien's shoulders slumped in defeat and he placed back and forth all around, arms thrown up in the air, rose still clutched in his hand. "Ugh! What do I do?! This will be a catastrophie!"
A sudden creak made the boy freeze on the spot and a low familiar voice reached his ears. "You know, that picnic date sounded good." slowly, painfully slowly, Adrien turned around, heart beating a mile a minute in his chest.
There he was.
Luka Couffaine, leaning against the doorframe at the entrance to his shared room with Juleka, a gentle smile on his face.
Adrien's grip around the rose tightened and he couldn't breathe. "L-Luka!" green eyes rapidly glanced anywhere but at him and only when Luka began walking closer did Adrien straighten up like a pole. "I-I uhm, J-Juleka must have told you I was here."
Luka's knowing smile sent butterflies in Adrien's stomach and he couldn't remember being this nervous. "Actually, she didn't. I just saw her walk by."
Wait...
He saw her walk by earlier?
Then that meant...
Forest green eyes flew open in alarm, face as red as a cherry and Adrien tried to hide it behind his hands, the rose in plain sight. "Don't tell me you...you heard me... How much?"
Maybe if Luka hadn't stood there for long, maybe he could save face and start his confession all over again-
The older boy pretended to think, a hint of mischief shining brightly in his blue eyes. " Let's see...I think it was the time I invited you to play in Kitty Section."
Adrien's blush grew worse and a sense of dread filled his stomach like poison. He heard it.
He heard all of it.
Before Adrien could begin to question his choice of confessing, a warm hand settled on both his shoulders. His head shot up and Luka's soft gaze and warm smile met Adrien's petrified expression. "I feel the same, Adrien."
Fair brows shot to Adrien's hairline in shock. "W-What? You do?!"
The guitarist chuckled, a boyish smile curling his lips. "I do...have for a while now. I just...I never expected you'd feel the same for me. You've been the chords my heart never dared to play aloud, the beautiful melody whenever the ivory keys hit a high note, as high as my heart soared whenever I was with you, Adrien."
Adrien felt lightheaded at the beautiful confession compared to his lame one. How did this man not have someone yet? Adrien felt lucky, lucky his feelings were returned, lucky Luka was here with him.
He breathed out slowly and a lovesick smile stretched the secret hero's lips.
"Adrien." Luka smiled and carefully, slowly so Adrien had time to pull away, lovingly kissed the pianist's forehead before pulling back.
The blond inhaled sharply, cheeks aflame. "Y-Yes?"
A soft chuckle left the guitarist's lips and pink spread over Luka's own skin. "Should we go to the cinema before or after the picnic?" he smiled almost shyly at the model and Adrien swore his brain stopped working.
He didn't remember fainting, but he did feel strong arms wounding around his weightless form.
"A-Adrien?!" Luka's eyes flew open and his body moved on autopilot, hands quickly grabbing Adrien to stop him from falling to the floor.
The blond had a blissful expression on his face, rose clutched against his chest.
Thanks for reading! :) I hope it wasn't too cringey.
