ok so shit man,,,,,,i lowkey shipped it when i read half blood prince around the third grade, but the time i really started shipping it was when i started reading fic?? specifically all life is yours to miss by saras_girl

my thoughts: 

angst, fluff, or full blown pwps. no in betweens (good shit)

What makes me happy about them: 

the character and relationship development is always so beautiful to read??? their dynamic and understanding of one another is so stunning when written well, and never fails to make me cry. those scenes in fic where they slowly unravel themselves and spill their guts and hopes and dreams are just,,,im weak

What makes me sad about them:

fuck man. like,,,idk how to put this into words im so eloquent

but i guess what makes me sad is that they were in such similar situations during the war, but thrown on different sides, so they were always pushed into this idea that they just had to hate each other??? and then hbp happened where they both come to realizations and in dh when draco doesnt sell harry out and idk man i just feel like the “in another life” concept is really relevant to them and it makes me cry

Things done in fanfic that annoys me:

idk i guess it’s preference but i’ve never been one for really fast paced fics?? i’ve always felt that drarry was a ship that really needed time and development and adjustment between the two characters, so when i see the relationship rushed it kind of bugs me a bit. each to one’s own though

Things I look for in fanfic:

i really like long drarry fics

tbh im cool w anything as long as it’s angst w a happy ending lmao and the characters are written well

reconnecting through scorbus is always fun

meeting again and talking and learning, understanding. it doesn’t take time for them to open up about the war, but it does take time for them to acknowledge their impacts on one another during it.

this leads to forgiveness and acceptance, giving each other the strength to move on.

becoming good friends, weirdly enough, really good friends, if not a little awkward at first.

eventually leading to long nights curled up together, either filled with comfortable silence or drawn out conversations. your everyday banter with no real bite behind it, scoffs and sighs and rolling of eyes, but when they look at each other it’s just filled with the most unconditional love. 

this ended up being really long and 90% of this was me rambling lmao im sorry
